But you dont lose all quality just because you are unhappy, and it's not like the second he walked through the door he became depressed, I mean he agreed the move in the first place.

That would probably finish in a solid 12th to 10th position that.

    This!

Jonas is the best runner (with the ball) we have, he takes pressure off our defense and gets to the byline (creating space on the edge of the box). Barton, when we had Carroll, tended to cross quite early, having 2 players like this would means we'd be easier to defend against!

  4. Yeah but your mental state can have an effect on your performances. We've all seen what a tight dressing room can do for a team, ours is an example. Villa's was in a mess, so you can't really blame Ireland himself. The move did him no good, and you can't just expect him to be the stand out player, you need your team mates to help you out.

Ireland is happy here, and has looked impressive since he started playing. His passing is excellent.

Yes I know that but you're just repeating yourself now, I was saying that he wasnt unhappy the entire time, but he was pretty **** the entire time.

He would have been happy at the start of the season at least, it's not like they forced him to sign a contract.

Didnt he agree whilst O'Neill was manager, then when he arrived O'Neill left, then when Houllier came in he wasnt really considered part of the first team and they didnt get along.

I think considering that's where we're aiming to finish this season (without Ben Arfa for nearly all of the season, and a decent striker for half of it) I reckon you're wrong!

Either way it's not as if Houllier walked through then door and Ireland became depressed, he would have had time to play and impress. Also I thought McDonald brought him in, and Ireland would have known he was just a caretaker.

  11. He was **** at Villa because Villa were ****. Simple as. You need your team mates to be able to play your best. Ireland never looked happy at Villa at all, and Villa were in the **** from the second game of the season when we hammered them 6-0.

That doesnt mean anything, answer this: Are Wigan ****? Is N'Zogbia good and does he stand out?

i think it was a shifty time. i think the deal was agreed whilst O'Neill was around but the transfer dragged over the time O'Neill left. and then the actual signing went through. it was something to do with this deal why O'Neill left i think

Either way he still had the time to turn down the deal because of O'neill leaving, which means he was happy to sign, so his mood had nothing to do with his consistent **** performances for Villa.

  15. Not really Nzogbia doesn't really look that much better at that club because he doesn't have the team around him to help him shine.

He still stands out as a good player in a **** team though, same for Parker at West Ham

And a few players at Villa now for that matter, basically the same team and same manager as when Ireland was there.

  17. Well Ireland's body language has certainly improved since he's been here, so i can only imagine he was unhappy at Villa, and that lead to his poor form.

He's happy here and says he feels reborn at our club, and he's played well whenever he's come on and made impact and added a threat on goal.

A good dressing room does matter.

    1. Come on, you havent studied his body language when playing football over the course of his time at Villa then compared it to 2 games here, you were watching him play football. And you're not an expert, how would you know what it meant if he was doing certain things?

    2. He's played less than an hour, 2 sub apps, not enough to guage his quality or happiness. Also of course he's going to say he likes it here, he's dying to leave Villa.

    3. I know, I was talking about good players standing out in bad teams, and as for the N'Zogbia example, I cant imagine the Wigan dressing room has especially good morale either.

For the record I have nothing against Ireland, and I'm not slating him but he still has everything to prove. A few nice passes in 2 substitute appearances doesnt justify a move for him or suggest he will get back to City form.

    Just my 2 cents.

is it wierd that after 1 season on football manager that liverpool have made a 6m bid for enrique?

  20. You certainly have a narrow minded view on this subject. "A few nice passes in 2 substitute appearnces". You haven't looked at the bigger picture on this, and you obviously haven't seen what impact he's made when he's come on. I'm glad you're not part of our scouting system.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I'm not coming back to this article, because i find you extremely stubborn sometimes. You can reply but i wont see it, i don't think i could stand seeing another ridiculous comment from you on this matter.
