I know we have a lot of injuries but sometimes these things, unplanned as they are, work out for the better.

Remenber when Bobby Robson was managing England in the World Cup finals? We were abysmal and I seem to remember we lost Brian Robson or Wilkins and what happened?

Robson had to play Beardsley who was not even condidered. Result? Lineker could not stop scoring!! It's a funny old game!!

Yes, no hoof ball. Can't see it working with Sess and Richardson up front, no size at all. Hangeland won't have it. But, on the floor, Sess can make things very difficult.

So has DW gone back to manu then? Whats the point of keeping him if he is not to become a permanent signing.

Why do people keep saying we are safe? We can still hit that final relegation place....no strikers...one win in ten...and we are Sunderland after all....don't want to be doom and gloomy...

Although my spirits were lifted by the result at the weekend....our squad is decimated and I'm not really expecting many more wins fom the season. Would like to take points from Fulham, Wolves and West Ham...but not much more than five. I'm crossing everything and looking forward to it all again next season!

    Noble to start IMO

Would absolutely love to see him grab a goal! Would a win v Fulham see us mathematically safe?

If you're right that could save a lot of money this summer. Sess's pace and willingness to take people on plus Gyan's movement could cause defences a lot of trouble. Especially if we learn to play Henderson and Muntari in their natural positions on the wings. It's certainly a possibility worth looking at.[/QUOTE] <ok><ok> I would still like to see us buy a real goal poacher to add to our options. Dare I say someone like Bent as but with morals if thats possible!

No you're not. This season is tight and it just takes the lower teams to reach 41 and go ahead on GD, or reach 42 for safety.

As a Newcastle fan, I'm not considering us completely safe until we get, say another three points. We'd probably be safe on the 41 we have now, but if we didn't budge from there it would be a bit of a nail biter as we dropped down the table and closer towards the relegation zone.

not a chance of safc or nufc going down,

thought this theory was dis-spelled at the weekend,

some talk of relegation, while most of us talk about top half, hhmmmm
