So, anyone doing anything for our favorite monarch's big day, whether it be a drinking game/street party/casual watch/casual throw darts at TV Personally i don't give a rats arse but i'll still probably watch it Plus it's been advertised so much, i've seen 'Royal Wedding sick bags'
I pay taxes to the royals every week of my life and now there is a wedding and a bank holiday my firm has told me that I have got to work it I am really pissed off so I say "**** my bosses" and "**** the royal family"
Over here in Ireland the Civil Service still get a day off every year for "Empire Day" along with one for Christmas Shopping amongst others. I wouldn't be surprised if they get a day off this week to celebrate the wedding. Its Donald Duck's birthday next week, they'll probably get one for that an' all. And they wonder why the economy collapsed!! I'm just jealous really
The words 'royal' and 'wedding' are both taboo with me, as are 'bank' and 'holy'day: all dodgy institutions that rely on taxes of one kind or another, fantasy (propaganda) to justify their existence and unquestioning support from the common fan. Last time these four words really converged on the same day (Diana), I went and stayed with my old uncle in Asnieres (Paris) to avoid all the hype - and guess what? It was on terrestrial all day and as loyal a Frenchie as he was, he couldn't get enough of it - insisted on watching every blinkin' minute!
Living in leafy Surrey, we have a street party. I have to go as my wife is on the organising committee. I intend to offer my services for whatever needs doing in the morning, as I have no intention of watching the wedding - I'd rather be at work!
Going to see all my family in Northolt, Sid. Unfortunately the 29th is the first anniversary of the mum's death so it will be a bizarre atmosphere, what with celebrations going on everywhere. No doubt talk of QPR will keep our spirits up in readiness for doing Watford on the Saturday!!!!!!
Oh, Sorry, RIP was she an R's supporter + to people complaining about paying taxes to the royals, the amount of money they bring in through tourism far outweighs the amount we pay through taxes
