Was at the game tonight............. Not sure where to start first 15-20 we looked great, a great goal by Hoilett but yet more bad marking at set pieces again. for me tonight the weak link was Park playing on the left don't get me wrong i think he is great but tonight just didn't work. What i don't understand is Man u played him on the right but yet Hughes thinks he knows best and plays him wide left it just don't work.

And people saying it's only a cup game well what concerns me is we had a first team squad out apart from maybe 2 changes you would make against west ham, And we lost to a second string bottom of the table reading side and conceded 3 goals at home.

And as for Faurlin it looked like his bad knee and could not put no weight on it at all which for me losing him just makes the defeat even worse. i said this yesterday surely with all our injurys should we really be risking our keys players in the league cup.

Was feeling really positive after the Chelsea game but after seeing that tonight and throw in the injuries i'm really starting to worry. Thought Mbia looked strong but he tends to wonder out of position quite a bit but overall looked pretty solid. overall very down tonight with the result we just cant some to hold a lead for more then 5 minutes.

i feel if we lose to West ham on Monday that will be it for Hughes as i can not see him turning it around if we lose on Monday night but i hope he does.

    Just back from the game.

    Positves

Cisse got a goal. Junior got a goal. This is good because I sense that they are both players who need confidence. The goals wer both good efforts.
Faurlin is looking class - he is playing captain - for those of you not at the game - he shouts at the other players, tell people who to mark, arranges the formation, tells people when to move, tells players off when they loose the ball etc etc - a natural ball leaders - has a great sense of the game outside of his personal skill.
Our core 12k support turned up.
ummmmm - that was about it - oh and Clint Hill did little wrong - IMO at least.

    Not so good.
Why play Park out of position - I felt sorry for him - and his head dropped when people started to moan at his crosses - at least he was trying! Hate it when our fans get on people's back - support the team.
Granero looked tired - I mentioned after the Spurs game that he vanished in the second half - as he did at Chelsea - he looked tired and we just did not run the midfield as we did in last two games - is he fit - needs motivation - at one point he was clear on goal vs the keeper and he passed it back 20 yards - strange - DID NOT want to take the shot - what was this about? Love his skill and attitude
We seemed to play more in the air than in the last two games where we had a passing game - I think we missed Nelson at he back.
MBia - a stopper but not great control - could have been sent off for the penalty - luck to stay on the pitch - maybe first night nerves
Hughes - I got slated for doubting him after the Spurs game - but - where are the ideas.

Overall - we still look ok - when we have our shape and composure - today it seemed the morale was missing - we were more skilful, they had more passion - they wanted the ball. At spurs we won nearly every 50:50 ball - tonight we won 30:70
Does Hughes have a problem with Adel? He is only hope I see - as we lack any creativity.

I don't think we should be calling for a new manager - but Hughes needs a kick up the ass. The same players did great last two games. We played first team tonight. They looked tired and dejected. Apart from Cisse who sulked a bit. There seemed to be no plan.

One last thing - Gorkks had a great game and scored. Why did we sell him? He was part of the meanest defense in the league two years running. Did great tonight. Kasper - I miss you!

Nah - we will be fine. got the best QPR side player for player I've seen. Need another striker and a manager who can organise a defence against set pieces and do the unexpected - run plays change things about - Hughes is no idiot - needs a kick - compare him to the wombats we have seen over last 4 years....

I was one of the home fans who (mildly) applauded Kaspers when he got the first equaliser, thinking at the time that it was a lucky break against the run of play and that we'd carry on dominating and win comfortably.

The rest of the game gave me less to clap about....

Good and measured thoughts. Agree mostly though did not last night. I was upset and angry that this new look QPR team should be beaten yet again after going in front twice!!

Pog was UNMARKED - not sure whose crime that was but no doubt MH will have a word or three.

Football is a funny old game. Gorkks - we've all said it. Anyone else recall Shorey's goal against us from a free kick at theirs a few years back. His sheepish smile told all that his 'shot' was intended to be a cross from a free kick!

All wil be forgiven if we beat West Ham on Monday and start to beat those teams that have annoyed the hell out of us over the last few seasons - Swans, Norwich, Fulham and now Reading too.

If Phil Beard was speaking from knowledge then looks like January might be slightly busy for us in the striker and defender areas.

Onwards and upwards. This is the QPR way.
