I'm as hacked off as the next Rs fan with tonight's result but this tweet from the Rs press man has made breath a huge sigh of relief: Faurlin injury not serious. Just took a knock on his hip according to the gaffer #QPR Come on you Rs, we CAN do this!!!!! Onwards and upwards, starting Monday night!!!!!
I really hope this is true, because it looked bad from where i sat. Id' be more upset about him being injured than the loss!
Hi Mate, you are indeed the bearer of Good News! Wonderful. I was more despondent about Ale limping off than the loss.
I was hacked off by the defeat but losing Ale to another ACL injury would have been a disaster of a different order of magnitude. It certainly looked serious from where I was sitting and they seemed to be tending to his knee. Hope this news about the hip is correct....
I said last week that my only ambition from this game was to get through it without any injuries; I was lying of course, but now that it appears that we have I'm fairly pleased.
just to confirm the OP, this tweet is by a reliable source so all looks ok IanJTaylor ‏@IJTaylor81 Faurlin injury not serious. Just took a knock on his hip according to the gaffer #QPR
More from West London Sport: Boss Mark Hughes is optimistic the injury Alejandro Faurlin suffered during QPR’s League Cup defeat against Reading is not serious. Faurlin, who recently returned from cruciate damage, had to be helped off the pitch with three minutes of the game remaining. Faurlin is popular among fans. Hughes believes the problem is not related to Faurlin’s previously injured knee, although the popular Argentine’s condition has yet to be fully assessed. Hughes said: “I’ve not had an update. I think he landed on his hip, which then made it difficult for him to walk so he had to come off.
