Has anybody got any tips for the best place to park at or near West Ham? I'm currently looking at parking in Barking and catching the tube for the two stops to Upton Park, but if there's a better parking spot let me know.

    Cheers.

Yeah, you could go parking in Barking and walking in Dorking, then if you wanted to you could do a bit of shopping in Wapping.

    Sorted.

the one thing that is a total pain in the arse in London is a car, good luck. A train station is probably your best bet or you will end up paying 30 quid for 4 hours

When we went to West Ham last season we parked at Newham general hospital about 15 mins walk from ground and cost us something like a fiver for 6 hours.

IF you go past the Ann Boleyn pub driving away from Upton Park there are any number of side roads where you can park for free.

Like a previous poster, parked at Newham General hospital, easy to find and easy to get away later. Not sure what it will be like on a Sat though. I always use footballgroundguide.com as a sense check.

Barking is your best bet, come of the M25 at junction 30 take the A13 London bound, then take the A406 come of THE A406 at the 1st exit which is Barking, come down the slip road and take the 3rd exit on the roundabout. it is a little industrial estate, go past wickes which is on the right and on the left hand side there is legal free parking. all you have to do is walk up the Barking road about a 15 minute walk, cpl of pubs on the way.Hope this helps.

    All the best
