Jerome Sinclair??????He must have a note that allows him to finish school early to get the coach down...Wow...What a prospect, but if he makes his debut will that be the youngest ever player to play a first team game for Liverpool??? 15 he is!! Have you got the full squad list?
Just had the call from Rodgers, he wants my five year old son to play in net too Unfortunately, he wants to wait until the youngest turns three in October before sticking him on the right wing
No squad list yet mate - James Pearce tweeted it lol. Apparently a lot of staff are excited about Sinclair - stands out at every age group so far.
Jose Enrique is out with a niggling knee injury (again) - probably explains his poor performances recently. Jon Flanagan and Joe Cole are both injured as well. Suso, Wisdom, Carragher (captain), Brad Jones, Sahin, Downing, Hendo and Assaidi are likely to start. Yesil is likely to debut. (via Liverpool echo)
Ive only seen him this summer and he has impressed me all the way....First game i saw him play he got a cracking hatrick.....each goal a peach and very composed. he did actually turn 16 last thursday so not as young as i thought. There is an article in the Echo which confirms he and Sama are in the squad. Most of the senior players are to be rested. yesil will get his debut etc etc etc....here is the link http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...tal-one-cup-tie-at-west-brom-100252-31908663/
I thought that, too. That's why I asked. Just wanted a confirmation, really. And me. Will post some flash thread for those that don't do sopcasts, though. And -- am I imagining this? -- didn't we sign Sinclair from WBA just last year?
Thought so. It'd take the p*ss a little if he played any part in a Liverpool win today. Like if we played against Blackpool and Tom Ince rifled one in.
Yeah, we really need a win, TBH. Wins always breed confidence, for me, regardless of whether the majority of the first team play or not. I know we always raise our game against the bigger teams, but I still think our performance against Man Utd was partially motivated by our midweek win over YBs. Another game like that would be nice.
Sinclair isn't the youngest to play in the competition. Arsene Wenger once put Arsenals under 14s in the competitiion and they got knocked out in the 5th round by a full strength Manchester United side.
Totally agree, don't know why but Jones between the sticks does not inspire any confidence whatsoever. We need a decent 2nd choice to Pepe as soon as poss. Any news on Doni, the disappearing goalkeeper?
TBH i dont mind if we get beat but ONLY if we score some goals from a forward/striker. if Yesil is playing i hope he scores and we whack him in the team against Norwich! probably wont happen mind.
