I spend time down at MP watching the training sessions, talk amongst the ground staff
insiders is Hangaland will be on the move in january, who to ?.
The talk is he wants a 3yr contract with a substantial increased in wages,
gossip says Fulham have offered 2yrs with a marginal increase,Brede is a favorite of mine and.
his solid approach would be greatly missed.
I cannot see Senderos being a suitable replacement.

Yeah, I'd heard those rumours as well rosc.

Guess also this is why we haven't officially announced him as Captain and why there is no 'Captain's Column' in the match day programme.

I can see Sir Alex coming in for him, probably as a short term fix, given the ManU injuries (Vidic and Smalling). Possibly Liverpool depending how bad the injuries were to their guys at the weekend. And, almost inevitably given the state of their defence, the SW12 lot will have a go.

Agree Senderos is not the answer and young Dan Burn isn't ready yet. All things being equal Grygera could but we know about the uncertainties there. Presumably though this is why we were trying to get Douglas in the summer window and I guess we'll go back in for him. I'd rather have Brede but wouldnt be too averse to Douglas.

I love Brede- he's been a great servant to the club and a key part of our resurgence under Hodgson and subsequent success. But... (unpopular opinion about to be expressed) he's peaked- he makes mistakes. He has a great influence on the team, but there are other players out there who can fill his boots. I'd be delighted if he stayed, but I wouldn't be despondent if he went.

Kind of agree with you there silky. Hangeland's a great player but I think we've seen the best of him. Obviously I'd much rather hang onto him but if he does go, like you I wouldn't be too distraught. The only sticking point would be who do we replace him with?

Also, why are we talking about this? Are we allergic to winning games or something?
