I really think we need to be resting Austin. The guy gives his all every game for the full 90 mins and if he was to be injured we would be screwed. If it was the FA Cup then I think I'd be more inclined to put a better team out but not for the League cup. I'd play

    ----------------------Ashdown----------------------

    Byram-----------Kisnorbo-------Lees-----------Drury

    Diouf-------------Brown-------Tonge----------White

    --------------Varney/Gray------Poleon--------------

I'd be tempted to play a youngster / thompson for Tonge's spot but then I still think we require some sort of quality in the team (although I haven't seen it yet from Tonge)

I think most think that. While we have in recent years put very good performances out against prem opposition in the cup we really do not look as strong this year especially attacking wise. I struggle to see how we would be able to break down a premiership quality backline (that is if you are going to play a full strength side of course). The other thing is I can't see us playing our best team, we have a fair amount of injuries in the squad already with a lot taking knocks on the weekend as well. Can't see Colin risking it in a competition that means nothing to us

Was a good run and finish by White <ok>

The kind of goal that will prompt - "Where has that form been for a while?" questions

Precisely - if he could play like that consistently we wouldn't have to play Varney wide left!

    No problem <ok>

Playing fairly well so far. Definitely better than I thought we would, considering the opposition.
