There's a thread for this. Covers the pre-season tour and a bit more of the games. I do like how Rodgers talks to the young players and the information he gives them is spot on. There is a scene where he pulls Jonjo aside to talk with him, thereis one part in it though where, after yesterday, I had to basically do this . They show a few of the activities with Rodgers also demanding the players look forward and for penetrating passes ( I swear!). They also have the interviews with Gerrard, Carra, and Lucas ( watching this show makes me feel so bad for him after he worked so hard to come back!). One thing I want to see or rather hear from are players like Skrtel, REina, Suarez, Agger, Johnson, etc. The guys who are our top class players, not youngsters, and have won things before with the club. I want to see how he talks and communicates with them as for the most part it has been the younger guys.
Another hatchet job on LFC in the name of a review of Being Liverpool, the 'journo' doesn't realise that the club didn't film or edit the programme. Why do they do this? Perhaps it has something to do with the second, which is the belief of all Liverpool fans that they constitute some sort of chosen people; more special, more noble, more decorated, more triumphant and more tragic, more blessed and more cursed, than any other club. Quite a bold claim for a club who derive their moral credo from a Gerry and the Pacemakers song. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-reveals-Anfields-delusions-of-grandeur.html#
I didn't bother watching 2nd episode last night... telegraph had it about right... substance free nonsense. More of a reality show with no drama than an insight into the clubs workings.
I thought that too, its very clear everything is approved by the liverpool PR dept and it comes across as almost pre staged. Contrast that with the 4 year plan and the difference is immense.
You'll notice it's the Telegraph - the same paper that Simon Heffer is on the editorial board of, the same paper that led with a half page sized picture of Kate Middleton when all other papers led with the Hillsborough report, and one of the papers Justice Popplewell sent his infamous letter to last year to tell the families of the 96 to get over it when the judiciary got first wind of what the panel were begining to uncover. Oh, and they'll be the mouthpiece of the establishment when a suitable pause has taken place and they think it's okay again to slur the 96, LFC fans and the people of Liverpool in general. They can't help it, they chew on the fetid knob flakes of the authorities, government and the grey suits that have run this country for thousands of years.
Shelvey part is priceless considering and they show the moment Sterling steps out. i know the look too well with my youths I coach!
I thought it was a little more insightful than the first episode but still not exactly detailed or revealing. They seem to like Lucas too
Fair enough. It is a little cringe worthy at times, I don't like reality TV either but you do get a little insight into how Rodgers works unless, of course, it is all staged for the camera
