Thanks for the mention sb, its nice to know your always thinking of me.
I have had a look on the Spurs board and low and behold another Club closing your pathetic attempt to wum.
Any way enough of boring old you.

As i have said before, Portsmouth FC have a manager in Appleton that actually brings some good comments back to a club name that has been dragged through the mud many times in recent years.
I believe he is earning himself respect in football for just soldiering on in a managers role that is almost impossible to do.
He seems a man that takes every thing on his broad shoulders and very rarely complains if at all.
That on its own makes people ask the Question why ?
All this at a club that No ones knows which direction it is going in.
There has to be, once your involved in Portsmouth FC a undeniable passion for the club, and that in its own right has to be good for the Clubs name. So getting rid of such a man would do more harm than good.

This did make me laugh. He's always complaining, one day it's the ref, the next it's the opposition raising their game, then it's too much for his players, then he cant sign people. He moans more than my old lady.

If he's doing a good job, I'd hate to see a bad one.

    Nigel Adkins.

    Played: 5
    Won: 1
    Drawn: 0
    Lost: 4

    Goals For: 9
    Goals Against: 15

    Problem ?? <laugh>

Going back to what you said though, LD, it is hard to disagree with you about his complaints. However, he hardly ever complains about owners e.t.c, but he takes it out perhaps when the team dont pick up points, by looking at refs/ sticking up for the players.

However, all of those scenarios balance out by the end of the season- unless you're Man Unt!- they've got a penalty every game the last five matches- and their opponents have racked up three red cards! Howard Webb and Mark Halsey's salaries must be why Man U are the most in-debt club in the world! <ok>

I asked an ex of mine once, why she didn't moan during our love making.

The next time we were intimate, she looked up and said "when are you going to paint this bloody ceiling?"

Ha,Ha it's like trying to compare Cheryl Cole to Carole King.

Problem? not when you've got back to back promotions it isn't.

It's the played 5 that Unappy wont get anywhere near. If Unappy ever gets to manage 5 games in the Premiership I'll run naked from St Mary's to Nortarf(or Fratton Tesco's if PST take over).

Nigel took us from bottom half of League 1 to premiership in 2 years. Where will Unappy be in 2 years, Havant and Waterooville is my guess.

And where will you be in two years, when after your Premier League relegation, every single player worth anything leaves the club ??

Duckie, enjoy this spell, because it will get a whole lot worse than you think soon. Any team who gets relegated has their whole first team leave- and I don't thin you'll be an exception .. Im sorry to tell you <ok>

I see you have had your thread closed on the Liverpool board now sb.

I really think you will find teams don't lose all there players if they get relegated from the prem PL.
It's usually there best 3 or 4 players. But also some teams still bounce back up even if that happens.
As regards to Southampton, if we happen to find ourselves in the bottom 3 at the end of the season, then I am sure we will cross that bridge the best we can, the same as any other club in the Prem will.

SP, obviously for your sake I hope your better players don't leave if you are relegated- but unfortunately it happens to many relegated teams.

Look at Wolves, and the players they sold- particularly Fletcher- he's having an amazing start to his time at Sunderland. 3 games, 4 shots, 4 goals!

Matt Jarvis is doing well at West Ham, too, among others ..

As for others, they'd rather leave a club to sit on the bench for Stoke or West Brom e.t.c .. <laugh>

All the best for the season, SP. Despite the Pompey-Southampton "history", it is nice to have a South Coast team in the Premiership, Pompey or not <ok>
