There is a bit of a double standard though. When it's a teenage lassie we think it's terrible, but if it were a teenage boy we're thinking "ya jammy wee ****"

Taking advantage of under agers, regardless of their sex, is deplorable. Perhaps because I taught, this particular one is a bit hard to swallow. It's plain wrong.

Tina, I had my midlife crisis at about 32 (didnae shag any wee lassies before anyone gets all het up - I went for the durrty options) but that girl is only a few months away from being able to sign up and die for her country in the army. Shakespeare's Juliet was only 12 or 13, by the way and the idea that young girls between 12 and 16 are in any way less ready for adult relationships than boys is quite a recent one. A story. I was about 27, my mate was 29. He was banging this wee 17 year old - everyone was jealous as ****. Now, I give it another couple of generations before this is seen as taboo - the overt protection of our children will make it unacceptable for older men to go out with girls under 18 - many women would argue that's already the case. After a couple of months of shagging this 17 year old, he got really fed up of it - she didn't even know who most of his favourite bands were, she couldn't really connect with his older female friends and she had zero concept of chilling out. Basically, the thrill of it wore off on him. Now, this guy looks really creepy in the vids on the news but, in the past year, there have been several stories posted on here where this story is in reverse and we've been able to treat it as a joke etc. It appears that this girl not only planned this runaway but her friends were in on it as well. She is NOT being dragged there against her will but, if the guy was being less selfish than he clearly is, he would have known to not get involved with her in the first place. I like Milfy birds but it is natural for men to find teenage girls attractive - it is a fairly recent phenomenon that this has been socially frowned upon. The guy will do time for this and quite right as well - he's behaved in a manner that was beyond inappropriate in the extreme and "abused a position of trust" as I believe they are fond of referring to it these days.
I'm no reacting badly. And I would feel the exact same disgust if it was the other way around. I know the dedication you need to become a teacher. How taking advantage of one of your pupils can even enter your head is beyond me. It just shouldn't be. That 'type' should be weeded out way before they get near the end of their training. In an ideal world.
He's not a "type". He's a normal man with poor self-control. Like a woman, if you will Women don't find teenage boys sexy and, as such, force their own morality of comfort onto men. Meanwhile they'd all happily be ragdolled by Bruce Willis. Ask a guy if he wants a 60 year old baldy woman and you'd be telt where to get.
I didn't read all that, coz I really am not interested in your life (no offence) I did read the bit about the opposite (older woman/young guy). I remember the article on here, not sure if I did comment on it, but I was disgusted by the story. The reaction from you lot was typical high fiving the boy - I hoped in jest, but perhaps it wasn't. I don't know or care. He abused a position of trust. Crossed the teacher/pupil line. Sure there's worse crimes out there, but in my mind, this one's deplorable. Like I said, probably because I was in the profession and just can't get my head around someone going through all that training and throwing it all away, because he's a ***** (maybe not legally, but in my mind, aye he is)
Tina. What I'm suggesting is that my mate bobbing a 17 year old as a 29 year old will be against the law/against a common morality in a generation or so. I'm really, really, really willing to bet that, as a 17 year old, you got banged by a guy at least 8 years older than you. I'd put a massive bet on it. People in 100 years time will view that guy shagging the teenage you in the same way that you view this guy. You're genuinely revolted by this, aren't you?
