Chelsea legend Hughesy second fave for the sack

    Hughes was a Chelsea fan in his youth, bear in mind he would have started watching us in mid-to late 60's when we had a lot of swagger and glamour about us.

    And though legend may be stretching it, there's no denying how popular he was with the Chelsea fans.
    His partnership with Franco(best we'd had since Dixon and Speedie) helped us to our first trophy in 26 years and no one could forget how he inspired Chelsea in the cup against Liverpool after being 0-2 down at half-time to come back and win 4-2.
    And his goal against Vicenza to put us in the Cup Winners Cup final.

    Actually. I've changed my mind, he is a legend.
    Still not a great manager though.

    What a terrible OP, devoid of any facts or indeed truth. EC, I used to have a lot of time for you but that really is a poor effort.

    Again, no truth to this whatsoever. He built the best Welsh side in generations. He did stellar work at Blackburn and Fulham. He bought well at City but was always going to be shipped out for a top-class Manager.

    Of course he's not the best Manager in the World. If he was he'd be at a top Club. But to say he's failed in every job he's had is just pure balderdash.
