    Hull City
Steve Bruce's great start to the season had to suffer the worst defeat of the Season so far when they went down to a David Nugent hat trick at the King Power to lose to former boss Nigel Pearson's Leicester. Despite that disappointing result, there is reason to still be optimistic as a Hull City supporter after witnessing the sides best start to a Season in 6 years and a new vibrant brand of football being executed on the field. Hull have looked as a team that have combined well chemistry-wise and every attack looks as though it could end up in the opposition's net. Steve Bruce may feel to keep the same formation and players that scored 11 goals in 4 games, taking the Leicester match as a one off, or there may be some little changes to the side to see if another combination of players can pull off the recent attacking flurry.

    Peterborough United
Posh are 7 games into the Season, and yet to pick up a point. Quite obviously, they have been putting in some lackluster performances and it has led to the speculation that it could be Ferguson Junior's last game as Posh manager should they lose at the KC. Peterborough's most recent result being a 2-0 home loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers and it seems as though the free scoring Posh of last Season has disappeared. There was signs of slight recovery at Wolves, but the side doesn't seem capable of mounting a serious attack within a match at all. Many expect an attacking set up by Posh going in with a "All or nothing" attitude at the KC and sides in that position can be difficult to contain.

    Analysis
Taking the Leicester result as a more 'tired' performance, Hull definitely will walk out as firm favourites to win this match and unless Peterborough can give a fast turn of form, a new "free scoring" Hull could repeat the Millwall match and see it done by half time. As most City fans will say, being favourites is usually a bad omen for the Tigers and teams have a healthy knack of turning their form against against them. Many may also say however, that the current Hull side is certainly something different. If the Tigers play like recent victories, it shouldn't be too hard a task, but Peterborough do pose a physical challenge and sides in bad positions usually play with nothing to lose and can be very dangerous if taken to lightly.

    Super Tiger's Prediciton
Comfortable Home win. Unless City expect to turn up and already win, this side should have too much firepower and solidity at the back to be worried by Posh. The table explains theirs and our performances, and City should really be hoping to bolster their goal difference. A typical fixture of "bite you on the arse" caliber as Burnsy would say however if City don't keep their momentum going.

I do apologise if I ever come across as biased, I never intend to do so, and I try to make it as balanced as I can.

Posh are a dangerous team to play as they are going to get a point sooner or later, however City should have too much in the locker and I can't see anything but a home win. I think the defeat yesterday will make the lads even more determined to get the 3 points

I echo the start of your point and I really wish they'd got a point before they played us. I think we're vulnerable in this game....

IMO, i would have been very worried about this fixture IF we had won @ Lesta yesterday. Now that the lads dropped the standards they have set yesterday, i can see the Posh paying the price. It wont be easy, nothing in this league is but i fully expect a 2/3 - 0 win for the Tigers. Oli to start in midfield again.

I'm reminded of the 2009-2010 Premier League season. Portsmouth, playing in blue, lost their first 7 games before winning 1-0 at Wolves, playing in a not-too-dissimilar-from-amber kit of gold.

    Hull City 1-2 Peterborough United

City to have 70% possession, 30 shots on goal, hit the woodwork, have 3 goals disallowed and miss a penalty.

As long as City aren't complacent going into this game and play with the same tempo that they have done recently (Leicester aside of course) then it should be a home win. It's a potential banana skin game but I think we have enough about us to avoid a slip up.

3-1, we haven't kept a clean sheet since we played Charlton and haven't really seen any evidence that we will for a while. The way we play leaves us a bit exposed on the break, which is where Leicester got us. And it's where Fergie Jnr will try and get at us. It of course is all academic if we win, but it will do the defense and young Amos a world of good to keep one once in a while. :)

If we score an early goal or 2 then i agree. The Posh heads will drop for sure with our home form.

Nothing like having good positive thoughts is there and ^^^ this is nothing like positive.

Indeed. Time that we kicked the dog whilst it is still down and struggling. Lets not allow them a moments respite.

Why not ? We had 4 in the bag against Millwall by HT and they at the time were far higher and better than the Posh.

Peterboro are conceeding above 2 goals a game on average at the moment. No clean sheets in 8 league and cup games. For sure an early goal or 2 and Yes 8 is very possible for City.

I bet that no championship team will concede 8 goals in a game this season

Oh, if we did I wouldn't be happy, as it's just my luck to say "Oh we won't score 8 goals" and then do it next game... <doh>

8-0 is 500 to 1 with Paddy Power - that indicates how likely it is!
