    Not our season trailing off after we seemed bound to challenge for Europe, had enough of football for the year now.<doh>

    What's disappointing is the little time this board spends talking about the greatness that is Pink Floyd.

    I felt it necessary to express that unlike my other great love, SAFC, the Floyd never disappoint and therefore would like to endorse them.

    Fair enough, I think the opening lines to 'Brain Damage' would describe Cattermole's performance;

    'The lunatic is on the grass'

    Syd, that song shows why taking drugs is in no way like supporting Sunderland... "there is no pain etc..."

    Bloody hell, that's a life. I know a guy down in Birmingham who's been with Tony Ionmi (spelling?) from Black Sabbath as a PA/Roadie/Bodyguard/Chemist for however long they've been going and can tell some interesting tales...

    I do a music show in Germany where I make my own backing at home and play along with it at gigs.
    One of the songs I used to do regularly was 'Fearlessly' by the Floyd.
    Anyone who knows this song will remember that the end music fades away to 'you'll never walk alone' by the Anfield kop.
    I have an LP (yes, an LP) of 1973 and I faded our version of you'll never walk alone with the commentry (Bob Stokoe is wearing a tracksuit and on the back it says 'Bob Stokoe' etc.) on to the end of my version of Fearlessly. This goes over the heads of most Germans but our Squaddies here recognise it (it also helps that I play in a SAFC away top and my 'tuning in' music just before the second set is our 'theme' (Prokofiev)
    Once at an Irish pub in Paderborn, run by a Middlesborough supporter, when I came to the cross over from Pink Floyd to us lot (1973) he switched the electricity supply to the stage off!

    Shine on!

    NQDP your 22, pink floyd were ****e when they were out, and sound even worse now,

    don't be blinded by the past, look to the future, same as safc should do.

    always new things on the horizon, new music, and a great new safc, team, will be born next season.

    I'm 16, and my favourite bands are Pink Floyd and Queen! There's nothing wrong with old (sorry syd) music, if it's good it's good. It's better than the dubstep crap everyone else my age is listening to!

    I'm not going to acknowledge the suggestion that it's blindness for liking Pink Floyd, Led Zep, the Stones, the Jam and the like when all you have nowadays is Lady Gaga (Transgender), Beady Eye (Liam Gallagher is a little girl in a little boys body) and who ever Pete Doherty (Please just overdose) is playing with nowadays.

    No Syd, you're retro... except you were there first time round as well. I'm sure there's a word for that?
