    My Team will be

    ..................Tremmel..........................
    Tiendalli......Tate......Williams........Daves
    ...............KI............Gower..................
    ..Hernandez...........................Routlage..
    ...........................Shechter..................
    ...................Moore..............................

I think this should be a strong enough team to win and give our new boys some extra game time to gel.

Shechter can't play apparently for religious reasons. It's some day of importance in the Jewish calendar

Dai ... really! You'd puke just running out on to the pitch. These guys played 30 minutes with 10 men last Sat. They need a warm down day after every game. They play tomorrow, they're going to have limited practice during the week. We need to run full practices with everybody going at their best to prepare for Stoke. Farting around avoiding injury against a bunch of farmers on a cow field is not going to be practice for anything. If things need to be put right the place to do it is in practice - you don't coach in a game. It's not about rest, it's about best use of preparation time.

    Just saw you're reply.
I don't think that unless Leon is 100% then he needs to rest and get over his illness. I don't think that Leon is one of the players who needs game time, Gower, Hernandez, Ki, Tate, Moore, Ash, Jazz and maybe some of the youngsters as sub If we are winning comfortably.

I know someone who coaches football and his opinion is that rest is just as important as training, There is a fine line between progress and exhaustion.

Oh come on yankee ...If they puke coming on to the pitch then they are not fit enough. They are pampered to high heaven and all they do is a bit of training and play if selected for 90 minutes.....Bless them they need a rest.....The most they run on the pitch is around the 6 mile mark and that is just a couple of them, the rest average 4-5 miles so what warming on down are you on about, I would run 5 miles everyday when i was playing rugby and i was one of the slackers that would do the least i could get away with. most of the team would do a lot more and still play a more physical game of rugby that football will ever be....they are professional footballers who are highly paid and if they need days of rest after a game then they are not fit enough...... 2 games a week is a luxury compared to some sports and they dont moan

The difference between the two is that Rugby has a lot of catching up as far as athletic ability.

Footballers are like finely tuned engines and doesn't take much for them to snap and pick up an injury. it is so competitive if you drop 10% of your ability then you have no chance especially at our level. EG, Rooney quoted he is not as sharp as he used to be thats why RVP came in and he is now dropping back to CAM.

Its all pampered hype. George best would run rings around everyone for 90 minutes and then go on the piss all night . even if he missed training he could still turn out for united and play for 90 minutes. a few ***s with bobby charlton at half time and they are ready to go. This fine tuned rubbish is what you call pampered and not warranted....there were many many players like George and bobby who was never pampered like today. Its an over the top hype. How many time have you read about players caught in night clubs in the early mornings before a match.....and they are the only ones that were caught without the ones that got away with it......Too much of this wrapped up in cotton wool rubbish coming from the clubs that most of the players ignore and do their own thing anyway is a joke.

thats a great scientific argument on sport science I can see the physio report now

Too much wrapping in cotton wool, needs to man up, train train and train with no recovery time on a weekly basis, Play rugby and then you have no reason why he wont reach his peak and sustain it for a whole season.

    Come on!

also to think that players have not progressed in 40 years or so is such a stupid comment, athletes have better facilities these days let alone the medical team and strength and conditioning coaching. I would bet my life that no other team in history would keep up with Barcelona or Real today. Even ML said that.
