Exactly. Bob....his tactics have been correct against the so called bigger teams, but don't you think we need to use more flair in the games where we are more able to get the win?
Trouble is............how long do you keep saying things like "if we'd got what we deserved" and "when the team has gelled" etc etc? I know it's early days but we need the players to get the confidence that a win will bring. I bet nearly everyone on here will say that we will easily beat West Ham. Not for me....they look a decent side.
No, I'm not saying we'll easily beat them Col, we could though, cos we are better than them. We'll be more than fine this season
Its horses for courses in my opinion Col. I think over the last two games nobody deserves to be dropped and you have to bide your time as dyer did and will most probably and justifiably be rewarded with a starting place.i would love to see adel start but i honestly think the balance of the starting eleven is there to be seen in our performances. I think we will work harder against the hammers than we had to against spurs or chelsea.
Five games is far too early to say that the table doesn't lie. We've played two title challengers, one that will aspire to fourth, one mid-table quality side and one probable relegation candidate. The next five or six games will be a much better reflection of where this group is at.
But it doesn't lie Watford!!! Regardless of how many games you have played! We have 2 points no more no less. You can only beat what's in front of you and my point is that we need that win sooner rather than later!
Hard working = safety first in my opinion and we need to win some games....keep drawing our home games and, with our away record we are in trouble. SWP has played well and worked really hard....and created very little!
She would have trouble she is only 14 now ... Come to daddy xx Lovely little goaty xx To be fair I was pissed because I have been reading such a lot off of misery and worry on here it gets me down Plus as I have been living in a French cave for what seems a year I have gone stir crazy it has been nice here today so I am chilled now Apologies to all xx
Yeah but, no but, we've played city, ch, ch, ch them and spurs, 2 away. We might have played stoke, saints and reading (no disrespect) and got 7 or 9 points. It's too early. The signs are positive.
I think if we are fair we are one point off where most of you expected to be Swansea 3 points Norwich City Chelsea Spurs most on here said we would get nothing I can't see the panic sorry lads
Well of course but the last 2 1/2 games has suggested we should be more than a match for most of the teams in this league. If the next few games are anything like the second half against Swansea then the situation will be far more grave but there's a lot to be positive about. Swansea, for example, are on a very respectable seven points but when you look at who they've played you could argue that the table does lie this early in the season to some extent.
I really am not afraid of our current position. We are having the good performances (that can get better) and so the results will follow. If we play how we did yesterday then we will beat teams, especially when they turn up at Loftus Road on the back foot.
1) The increase in activity on this board today is because of yesterdays game. Your comments are largely a reaction to yesterday. 2/3) You said "Granero was poor". And to avoid multi-quoting the other sensitve souls like HoopsEternal and QPRNuts Col's comment is why someone shouldn't comment if there opinions are based on highlights(not starting that other well worn debate again- just saying highlights). And apologies Col it was Nuts who said they were lightweight. Faurlin and particularly Granero now how to win fouls. Faurlin stasts prove he is one of the best tacklers in the premier league and while in a fairly flat 4-4-2 you dont play an orthodox/traditional DMC he undoubtdly sits deeper and rarely makes a run beyond the forwards or wingers. (Also more for Nuts-missing the point elsewhere about their physical size) Granero gave loads of clever fouls away yesterday to break up play and didnt get a booking this is far more effective then Diakite or Derry type sycthing someone down and getting a booking early on and having to tread carefully. 4) Faurlin himself answers this one on the club site “For the fans I know how frustrated they are and can understand if they find it difficult to look at the bigger picture but we are all very confident here"
1) Wrong....they are a reaction to the first 5 games of the season. 2/3) I said the highlights showed him in a poor light. If those at the game say he played really well and that the highlights were misleading, as they often are, then fair enough. I love Faurlin and have sung his praises for the last 2 seasons. You're preaching to the converted where he's concerned. You're right, he does sit deeper, but the highlights did show both him and Granero getting caught up the field together....I know....it happens. I'm not concerned about their physical size and I agree they can both tackle...especially Faurlin. I just mentioned a concern for their lack of pace. 4) I'm glad they're all confident. I'm concerned that the confidence will slowly disappear the longer we go without a win. Hopefully we'll put that right against West Ham eh?
