This gives us the perfect opportunity to allow Cheick, Colo, and Cisse Some game time to find form/fitness out of the League spotlight though

Wont be a first team, but at the moment, we have players either unfit or off form that we need to get back in shape.

We should play Cisse, Colo and Tiote, and the rest the kids.

Are you guys taking the capital cup seriously? Then you'll win, we don't give a **** about it.

Of course they are taking it seriously, it's the only trophy they stand any chance of winning!

joke aside, I worry of the difference in quality between our second teams. Their 'squad' players include Welbeck, Hernandez, Cleverly, Anderson, Fletcher, Butner...oh and they rested Vidic on the weekend (must have been because of the Shola factor).

One of those that is difficult to predict, remember a couple of years ago us playing away to Chelsea and thinking we could lose 10 - 0 or win depending what the teams were. We won 4 - 3.

Good point. Also, I wouldn't mind if Tiote Colo and co. get some time here as well since they're coming back, its an entirely different issue.

maybe that's why the ref appointed for this game only lives 5 miles away <yikes>

Referee: Anthony Taylor, from the Manchester suburb of Wythenshawe - a whole five miles from Old Trafford. This will be Taylor's first senior game at the ground, with the only previous fixture he's handled involving the Red Devils their 5-0 stroll at Molineux back in March.

This will be Taylor's fifth toon game, after a 3-0 home win over Reading and 0-3 loss at Derby in our Championship winning season, a 0-2 defeat at Spurs in December 2010 and West Brom's 3-2 success at SJP in late 2011.

referees aren't allowed to ever ref a match of the team they support.
hopefully he will be a Citeh fan and will play a blinder for us.

Don't let facts get in the way of a good conspiracy theory. The Scousers have already latched onto this one! We all know that the ref's not a United fan as he's from Manchester!
