I'm really looking forward to the Man U match on Wednesday.

I think it'll be the first watch with no pressure game of the season. Up to now we've needed to win to progress in Europe or fight for league points but this will be different. I can watch it with a care free attitude. If we lose there'll be no inquest or embarrassment since its Man U away and if we are knocked out then less games to play which our squad could do with, no point in picking up needless injuries and cards in the league cup when it has to be the lowest priority of the 4.

On the otherhand, we get to see some of the kids play, (shane, bigi, sammy, vuckic et al) and it'd be great to see us progress, furthermore, Man U are somewhat off the boil, will rest a fair few and are beatable.

    Should be a good game!

Personally I think we should put out a strong side and try to progress. Still our best chance of a trophy. They will definitely be playing a 2nd string/youngsters so we should try and take advantage. Like you say it is pressure free though so hopefully we just have a go regardless of which xi we put out.

I'd put the league cup 2nd in our priorities. Europa League has to be bottom priority as we have little hope of winning it, and it places huge demands on the body in terms of travel etc. I'd have it above the FA simply because it is an easier competition to win. Obviously the league is our main priority every year.

It'd be nice to go far in the LC but I think Europa has to be a bigger priority. I think we can advance quite far in Europe the experience there is better for our youngsters, it's been 6-7 years since we were last in Europe (so lets make a go of it) and it will raise our profile on the contitent for future transfers and recruitment.

The Europa is nice but I think winning the league cup would be a lot more significant. Winning a trophy can often spark a team in terms of confidence to go and develop a iwnning mentality. I'm probably biased too because I desperately want to see the club win something and get that monkey off their back. We've gone way too long considering the talent we've had at times.

I think if we get up a head of steam in the Europa we might get to the quarters. That won't be noticed much and will have little impact on transfers. Players coming in look more where you finish in the league. I think Pards has set his stall out early with the Europa. It has had a massive negative impact on the likes of Stoke and Fulham in recent seasons when they've put too much credence in it. Their league form suffered. Pards seems keen to avoid this because the biggest threat to our league form is the Europa, and the biggest threat to retaining our players and recruiting others is doing badly in the league.

Me too, looking forwards to it l mean. Would really like to see the likes of Abied, Ferguson and Campbell getting some game time.
Perhaps Cisse could play some part also, as the more he plays the sooner he will score that precious first goal and get this monkey off his back.
With tickets being expensive and the match being televised l am not sure what the attendance will be, hope the atmosphere is good nevertheless.
