Dangermen Leeds United Diouf -Master stroke signing from Warnock, Even the fans who were against it every single bit are starting to realise what a bright spark he is. Set up the 2 goals against Forest on Saturday and is proving to everyone what he is capable of and that he's worth an extended contract come January. Becchio- Another goal and helped set up Poleon for his first goal on Saturday. Sometimes he goes over easy and will go quiet in games but you can always rely on Becchio to score goals and so far this season he's done that very well. Everton Mirallas- His first season in English football and he's looking so far to be another cheap yet cheerfull signing from David Moyes. Joining for a fee of around 6 million in 5 appearances he's managed 3 goals. Fellaini- The Belgian international is one of the finest midfielders in the Premier League. This season he has proved why alot of the finest clubs have chased him such as Madrid and Man United. The defensive midfielder has got 3 goals in the Premier League from 5 Apps and Leeds will be hoping he's one of the big names not to be named if we are to progress. Enochs Eleven Kenny Lees Kisnorbo Pearce Drury Byram Payne Austin White Becchio Poleon Enochs Prediction This is a chance for the youngsters to get a run out against an Everton team looking very good in the early stages of the PL season. We have nothing to lose but hopefully we won't get turned over on our own turf. I'd like to see Sanchez Payne get a start or Zac Thompson to partner Austin in the centre of midfield. I'd leave the back 5 pretty much the same as we need to get a trust and relationship built up between them. Poleon wasn't a world beater in his full debut but still managed a goal against Forest and his confidence levels should be high so I'd start him with either Becchio or Gray. Everton will be hoping not to be embarrassed so I'd expect a few experienced heads in there mixed with youth. I don't expect a win from this game but I'd like a performance. I'm going for a good performance but a Leeds 1- 2 Everton. Over to the Elland Road and Everton lot, Keep the banter flowing. X
Jelavic passed fit for tomorrow night. Evertons assistant manager has insisted they will put out their strongest team
No replays in the league Cup, so just hoping for a result one way or another after 90 minutes (can do without extra time). Not sure if we'll have enough to trouble them too much, but as always with the League Cup the team they put out will be key.
Whit all the injuries we got at the moment the only first team player I want to see in this game is Cairns, Brown, Pugh and Nunez. Don’t want to risk any injuries to any other first team players
In all honesty, the back 5 do need to learn to play with each other. Maybe even give Kisnorbo a starting place for Lees and put Pelts at his normal right back
think warnock said he's not gonna play Pelts and a few others so as not to risk them..expect Ashdown in goal..Kissa in..brown..thompson..
What about the academy kids? Poleon signed with Monty Gimpel and another youngster..... If they want their chance the have gotta take it. What was it Alan Hansen said about Beckham and co in 1993?......
Pelts came off injured and Pearce played with an injury in the game on sat. Don't think Warnock will risk play them against Everton.
Kenny also has a groin problem. -------------Ashdown Lees--- Kisnorbo-- Pearce---Drury -----Austin Thompson Brown Varney--------Gray--------Poleon Need to rest Becchio as hes not the fittest and had a ankle knock.
I really want to see Payne given some game time. Wouldn't actually be suprised if he got given 20 minutes
I agree about Becchio although I would imagine he'll be desperate to play like all the others. Everton are a good outside bet to win this cup and if they beat us tomorrow night I actually hope they do. Part of me wants Warnock to put out our best available side.
Was just thinking White (from the commetry) sounded great when he came off the bench. Is he going to be on of those players like Walcott who comes on for the last half hour?
Think he would be a good impact sub due to his pace. Read we are been linked with Belgian free agent Vanden Borre. Right winger/right back. Was tipped to be the next big thing and was tipped more highly than Vincent Kompany but never fulfilled it.
I'd take Vanden Borre, when he was at Portsmouth I thought he was fairly effective, if inconsistent. No idea what he's like now, mind. Think I've developed a soft spot for him because of the infamous Chris Kamara moment on Soccer Saturday Jokes aside, I'd imagine the team would be: --------------Ashdown------------ Byram--Kisnorbo--Lees--Drury White--Thompson--Brown--Varney -----------Gray----Poleon Don't think it's a game worth risking the big players for. Lees and Drury play through lack of options to be honest.
----------------Ashdown-------------- Thompson---Kisnorbo---Drury---White Varney--Brown--Austin--Pugh--Tonge ------------------Gray-----------------
