    yes to both.

I think RVP should play up front, Rooney just behind in the hole fed by two wingers - we have enough of those, and Kawaga in midfield which is what he was supposed to be bought for.

but whether this comes off is another thing, that's why I am an anonymous poster on cyberspace and Sir Al is an internationally renowned football manager! :)

  2. I wasn't convinced that Rooney and RVP would work well together as they both like to be the main man but then I think about a few years back when you had Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo (which I thought was absolutely fantastic to watch), Shrek was happy to play second fiddle them. As much as I don't want Man Utd or Rooney to do well in any competition, i am interested to see how it all fits together.

Thats a fair comment I think Evans did go in badly aswel. Not sure what i would have done as a Ref there do you think any of them would have produced a double red card?

NO way would he have produced a double red but when you look at one of the angles he is right in line where Evans studs are clearly showing to him. I think becaues Shelvey was a little higher and caught his leg that made him lean towards him.

Either way, it really didn't even change the game that much and we still rued our own defensive mistakes in the end.

  8. The only incidents I can think of where there has been a double red is after players have been fighting. I can't think of a double red resulting from a challenge but this is certainly an incident where that could of happened. We had one in the Merseyside derby a couple of seasons back too with Felliani and Lucas (I think?)
