Injuries seem to be clearing up and the latest is that Pards is hopeful that Colo may play some part in this encounter.
As is becoming the norm in these types of fixtures it is highly likely that a weakened side will be fielded... but of course that will be the same for Man Utd.

Toon Win 0-1 and Shola FGS- 125/1
Toon Win 1-2 and Vuckic FGS- 150/1

My View
I think we will win this game, I really do. Whilst both sides will be fielding a weakened side we have a recent history of playing well in cup games away at 'bigger clubs'. (Chelski comes to mind).
I'm therefore going for a narrow win... with Shola getting a goal.
Maybe Pards will look to include Cisse so he has a chance of getting his first, confidence boosting goal of the campaign.

 

Hope you're correct in your predictions ACS, hats off to any Newcastle UNITED supporters travelling to OT., the price of the tickets for this game is outrageous.

 

it's a disgrace what Man Utd are charging.
It's a great opportunity to get the kids involved.
I would have said... £10 for adults and £5 for kids (or even £1).
The place could be rocking...

I said from the off that I wouldn't pay that price for what is going to be more or less a reserve game, and all the guys I met yesterday that go to the away games said the same thing.

Not going to be much of an atmosphere. Greedy Man Utd baskets may have shot themselves in the foot.

Don't think too many of their own fans would pay that kind of price to come up here to watch it either.

I'm not saying I hope we lose, but this game means **** all for us. If we win it, great, but it's just another comp on top of the stuff we've already got going on.

They'd put up a good enough performance.

 

Slightly worrying that the only person I'm concerned about in that team is Obertan, although he may be a good pick as he has some thing to prove going back there.

 

I think we could give Colo a run about for 20-30 mins or so, just to get him up to match speed.

 

Tiote too, as yesterday he looked like someone who hadn't played in a while

 

I hope Campbell gets a run out..

 

He hadn't played for a while, but I thought he did quite well when he came on.

Actually I think this is better.

We should use this match as a game to get our players back up to speed.

I'd actually start Tiote, instead of Abeid. I've love to see Cheik and mini-cheik.
