I am taking no moral high ground on behalf of the United fans at the game. I am pointing out Liverpool have no moral highground. The alleged fans are also alleged on various forums ( Liverpools forums ) to of been there and more than 2. Fans at the match also point out that United fans were impecable and that the 'wheres your famous munich song' chant while crass is in reference to decades of the entire stadium ( anfield ) singing 'whos that dying on the runway' Now obviously United and Liverpool will of had fans from that period at the ground yesterday. Hearing these chants from 40000 people probably isnt a memory soon forgotten so the fact its not sang by as many at Anfield ( its still sung, plenty on youtube in recent years, nothing on Sky ) probably means little. They must want answers as to why it was ok for 40000 Liverpool fans to sing those songs in the past. Its strange logic but in that sort of environment, a football ground and a heated rivalry it doesnt take much for it to boil over. I will be interested to see how Liverpool fans behave at Old Trafford in the next game. I fear the worst but if Liverpool fans can show themselves to of grown up then you can come and call United fans whatever you like.
NOF, just shut up. The same goes for UIR and all of the LFC posters who are continuing this crap! If there is anything that we should learn is that somethings are more important than football and that some people cannot be trusted to respect that. Now if you want the argue about the game itself them go right ahead. Apart from that PLEASE GIVE IT A REST
You are aware that people can read what has previously been posted?! Whatever helps you get over another home defeat!
Nah, as long as the morons keeps insisting that the chanting was condoned then I will continue to set them straight as it's a pretty ugly accusation, particularly when it's so obviously not true. Quite honestly I find it bizarre that any so called Liverpool "fan" would embellish something like that to try and score points.
That the chanting happened is beyond dispute. That aeroplane jesters took place is yet to be proven. Both are to be deplored - end of. Conversely I find it bizarre that both you and UIR are pushing the provoked excuse.
You're not condemning it either, are you? You got the respect you deserved in 2008 from City fans. Why couldn't your fans show us the same respect? It works both ways. I don't think there will be many sets of supporters as sympathetic next time.
I've condemned it several times, I know you don't want that to be true as you are desperate to hold onto the hatred but I'm afraid it's a fact. I'm yet to see anyone say that it was wrong for Mark Halsey to have cancer wished upon him because he didn't give Liverpool what they wanted yesterday. Why the name change and new account SKD?
Pushing no excuse. Just resent how all blame is being layed at United as if Liverpool fans were angels. You were not, far from. Singing your own sick songs and booing a victim of racism ( regardless of what you personally think ) But this isnt mentioned, hell even though major news outlets mention the fans doing the gestures its being swept under the carpet as it has been for decades. United will apologise for it. Have Liverpool ever apologised?
When did Liverpool fans make comments about Mark Halseys cancer? Can you provide the proof to back this up? It seems to be like the 2 Liverpool fans making airplane gestures at 2814 Manchester United fans. In other words made up.

Again its 2 people. That still doesn't justify the actions of 2800+ that the media seem to be brushing under the carpet. Lets see if Ferguson will come out and condemn them.
Absolutely not and the deserve to be banned for life, just like the Man Utd fans that took part. Good luck catching all of them though PS - posters keep saying 2,800 Man Utd fans but I'm pretty sure that not every single one of them would have joined in
No I don't, they are idiots. Howeve€r the media are making more of that, than they are of 2800 neanderthals making vile chants at the end of the game when the home fans had all left.
Sky reported a few 100 fans. Sounded like a few 100 aswell not a few thousand. Could hear individual voices amongst it. Clip only lasted 30 seconds aswell so whats not to say the other 2500 United fans whistled them down or booed. We dont know. We know what Sky decided to show and we all know sky showed it for two reasons, Ratings and to cause trouble so they get a story for the next game aswell and some of the people in this thread are lapping it up.
I hope the other fans did shoot them down but it shouldn't end there. We need to take a zero tolerance stance and the only thing these morons will listen to are bans. The problem falls when it is a one off visitor or tourist etc, what do you do with them if they aren't a regular anyway? Plus, if someone is banned how do you control it to make they don't attend? Especially when you can buy tickets through friends etc! I'd love us to make an example of the two that made plane gestures. Ban them both for life and put their picture on the club website too. However, I suspect there will be rules and regulations against doing this too
