Quite the opposite in fact. I've always said Jason should never be allowed back into the team. After slagging it off along with NC and the club. Then conveniently when we're top of the league he wants to apologies... But he's getting on with it and has done well since coming back into the fold so well done to him.
Adkins said that Puncheon's application has been top draw since his return to the fold. I'll trust Adkins on this and the evidence of my own eyes. After all, how much would a similar midfielder have cost us.
Just been making the fundamental error of watching boruc on YouTube and boy does he look quality! Reminded me a lot of Niemi in his shot stopping and rushing out and making himself big! Get him fit and he could be magnificent!
Hi Nath yes heard that from some Poles who live near me. They all think he's in the top 5 in the world. I'll settle for top 20 in GB!
As I've said elsewhere, I watched the guy at Celtic for a few years. He was absolutely world class. I'm not simply spouting superlatives for the sake of it either, he was world class. Hopefully he can rediscover that form for us as a top keeper is worth a load of points in any league.
Now Southampton have signed yet another ex- Celtic player in Artur Boruc, what are your throughts on this signing? Have you seen much of him? Check out Youtube. He was an amazing keeper for hsi 1st two seaons at Celtic but hit n miss for the rest of his Celtic career! He hates that old defunct club Rangers : please log in to view this image
Come on Pud, we are a neat and tidy lot over here and never start new threads when there's already one on the topic Hope he works out. Our young 20 year old looked alright at the weekend, albeit with not a lot to do.
Sorry, just posted without checking ... Obviously the mods can merge if they want! He's not beeN signed to be a roel model for teh young keeper - he loves smoking, boozing and eating too much!
A new keeper is exactly what we needed. SKD has looked so shakey that NA had to play the 20 year old ahead of him.
All optimistic towards this signing but got to ask why such an amazing keeper was a free agent at this point in the season in the first place.
From what I understand he displaced Sebastian Frey another hugely talented keeper and became Fiorentina's number 1 and then refused their contract offer after they tried hard to keep him, reports suggest now he wanted to desperately play in the premier league (who can blame him) and was all geared up to sign for QPR. Now I'm excited about Boruc however if I was offered Julio Cesar - World Cup winner and Brazilian number 1 I know who I would have picked.
Guys, for those who said he was world class with Celtic, you are 100% correct. He made the occasional blunder as all keepers do, he probably had half a season where he didn't play at his best. However, for the majority he was the best keeper I have ever seen at Celtic. Even allowing for a bit of bias, I had him as one of the best in the world. I believe he has had some ongoing knee issues at Fiorentina, however is he is even 80% of the keeper we had ( I hope for your sake he is even better) then it will not be a contest for No.1, he will be comfortably the best keeper on your books and will demand a lot from your defenders

What I find puzzling is the one year contract-is it short because he may not be first team or because he wants to see if we stay up?
It probably covers a lot of eventualities... 1. We might not stay up. Then we are not obliged to keep him, nor is he obliged to stay. 2. It gives us time to check him out, if we survive but still don't intend to keep him we can let him go at no cost. 3. He can see if we stay up before potentially committing to a longer deal. For those reasons, it makes sense for both parties.
