Not often you go up the table on a day you're not playing, but we're now up to 16th! Hurrah!

16th has never looked so good. Reading look like staying down there, and probably QPR as well.

If you had said that at the end of the 08-09 season where Liverpool came second in the PL and we got relegated to league one that in a few years we'd be higher than Liverpool in the table, you'd look crazy...

Only one other club has so far played Man City, Arsenal, and Man Utd in their first 5 games = Liverpool - and where are they? Puts our start into perspective.

What I like, is that the media will lose interest in us now. We can just quietly go about our business.

I'm not 100% sure about that, myself. Last night was the latest time Saints were first on MOTD, and Lineker seemed genuinely enthused that Saints were providing great entertainment and finally showing their ability to win. And his good opinion holds a lot of sway in football media. Of course the attention will drift, but I sense that, however much the football media play Saints down and appear to be largely unaware of the ambitious path the club are bent upon, we're still an interesting story to tell.

There is also the fact that we have a number of England potentials in our squad. Lallana, Ward-Prowse, Rodriguez, Luke Shaw and maybe more could one day become England regulars, that would certainly put more attention on us.

Who will be the managerial witch hunt this week?

    Rodgers?

    McDermott?

    Hughes?

    ;)

QPR will probably be the impatient type, considering they're run by morons. I can see Hughes going before too long. Rodgers won't get too much longer either if they don't get a couple of wins soon. Sacking McDermott would be very silly though. He should stay even if they do a Derby.

I think that Reading, Wigan and Norwich will go down.

    We'll finish in 13th like I predicted in pre-season.

We've got a tasty team, that some people don't realise how good some of our players are.

The trio of Ramirez, Lambert and Lallana is superb.

Wigan have goals in them and are probably better than they were last season. I'd say Reading, Norwich and either Villa or QPR.

If yesterday was an indication of what Villa are like - they could be in trouble too

You think Swansea are worse than Norwich, Wigan and us?

I can't wait until we get a live commentary on 5 live (post Ramirez signing) and we get Alan Green and Mike Ingham as the commentators so they can see for themselves how good Ramirez is and how entertaining our football is.
