Before I get on with the review -

I was randomly walking through Newcastle today, about to get myself something to eat before the game, and as I was passing HMV I heard "Tesh?", "Tesh?!"

I turned around and it was 5 goals 1 hat trick 11 heroes, that Belgian prick that used to be on this forum lol.

We went to Burger King, I got a cheeseburger, that greedy Belgian bastard got himself 3 double cheeseburgers and 5 helpings of fries!!! Fat ****ing ****!

Then I saw Tomw, ****ing fat bastard must be approaching 6 stone now!

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    On to the game -

Cisse played better today, he worked harder, did some great defending and work, but he just couldn't score. I couldn't believe the players let him take the pen. He's never been good at taking penalties at all, never mind when he's off form. He's never scored one at a top level, because he rarely takes them.

It should have been Ben Arfa. He deserved it after that ****ing amazing assist. What a pass.

It was a good performance from the lads today, and I can't believe it was only 1-0. But it doesn't matter.

    Ratings -

Harper - 8 - Solid. I think Krul is definitely the better shot stopper, but Harper's experience still shows. His decision making is nearly always spot on. His distribution is far better than Kruls, he gets it out quicker and starts attacks. I still prefer Krul, but we have to admire Harper. He's not world class, but he's been consistently solid and there whenever we've needed him.

Anita - 7.5 - Some great passes. I don't understand why some people claim his long balls are poor, I thought his long range passes were good, and he was more consistent with them today. I know the lad wants to play CM, but right now, he's playing well at RB. His marking is very good, he tracks players well, and his crosses are pretty good.

Saylor - 8.5 - My MOTM - Some people may disagree, but I thought he was ****ing solid. So many vital aerial challenges, and his presence was vital. I also like the way he's telling others what to do, he could be vice captain soon, if he managers to play the majority of this season.

Willo - 7 - Some people will be like "wtf are you on about", but despite some poor decisions at times, I thought he did a good job. He made some vital aerial challenges again, and looked threatening from set pieces. I think we're starting to get better at them.

Santon - 7.5 - Great performance again. A lot of his dribbles didn't quite come off, but his pace and skill frightened Norwich. Defensively he was great again.

Perch - 8 - Great performance. I never knew the lad had such good passing ability and vision. I'm not gonna get carried away and say he could cover Cabaye as a playermaker or anything, but I though some of his passes were great. Another great performance, and he's better as a DM, than a RB.

Jonas - 7.5 - I'm sooo glad to see the old Jonas back. His defensive work was excellent today, and he played a good part in our attack with some decent passing and good movement. His ability on the ball is vital for us.

Cabaye - 7 - I know people will go overboard and bitch about his poor shooting today, but I personally think since the 2nd half against Everton, we're seeing the best out of Cabaye, it certain aspects. His movement and ability to find space was that of a good striker. He made some fantastic runs into the box. We all know Cabaye has a fantastic shot on him, but it unfortunately wasn't there today. But, like the team, we're just starting to get warmed up. He dispersed the ball very well to get us in different areas of the pitch. I think he played well.

Ben Arfa - 7.5 - Fantastic assist, and very good play. Not an immense game, but a good all round performance. I liked when he lost the ball and ran back 70 yards to win the ball back. He'd never have done that a year ago. Fantastic work.

Ba - 7 - Great goal. His first touch, when he's on form, is ****ing sublime. Good defending.

Cisse - 5 - I don't think his performance was bad, but his finishing was poor, again. Poor lad. Howay Cisse!

MOTM - Saylor. Without him, Norwich would have flattened us at the back. Lets hope he can stay fit for the majority of a season <ok>

Overall - It;s getting there! We're not at 100% yet, we're at about 65%, but it's getting there.

I think we switched from 4-4-2, to 4-3-3, and back to 4-4-2 again in different parts of the game. Pardew seems to believe starting 4-4-2 and changing the formation in the game is the way forward. I think it's a decent plan.

We gave Cabaye a bit more freedom, and all that lacked was a finish. He could have got a couple today. His movement really impressed me. We have one too many good players for Norwich.

P.S. - Any Norwich fans that want to cry about the ref can **** off. Several times Holt and Morisson pushed our defenders, and the ref gave nothing.

Yes, the ref did penalise you a lot at times, but you did yourself no favours. You couldn't get passed us, so you had to foul us.

Rofl. I had a blonde moment. I was walking a different way than I normally do with 5 goals. I usually go around past the haymarket.

This time we went through the hippy green.

Good ratings . Jonas deserves an 8... Cisse needs a tap-in, and from there he'll be ok. Hoping HBA or Ba provides him with one soon, as I can't fathom Obertan setting anybody up for an assist to save his life!

Don't know how Jonas only got 7.5 either, but then again I'd give the whole team an 8 at least.
