I'm happy with the 3 points and the clean sheet.
HBA ran rings round Norwich today.
Whilst maybe not a so called 'fashionable' side, Norwich acquitted themselves well. We'll play much worse teams than Norwich and I hope they stay in the prem as they have a decent following too (plus of course the CH factor).
Teams like Wigan, Stoke and West Ham, along with Fulham bring ****e support.

Any idea how many made the long trek to your fine city?

and thanks for the compliment <ok> We are not a bad side by any stretch of the imagination, just have not got the killer instinct sorted out.

Good turn out considering, well done to those guys <applause>

I have only ever been to St James Park once, long time ago when we won 2-0. Had a good few drinks in the Strawberry before the game and was highly impressed with the friendliness of the natives. I am pretty sure I was the only City fan in the pub that day (we only took about 600 or so that time) and was treated so well. Since then I have always had time for the mags fans <ok>

Sorry but cannot see us surviving this year. Hughton's appointment has got mixed views down here. I think he is a good manager and hopefully we will be OK but not looking good early doors due to being woeful in front of goal. More than likely in the bottom 3 by next Saturday also unfortunately.

Not a fan of Norwiches style today, they only really looked a threat when the ball was up in the air imo. Cracking assist from HBA, my matchwinner yet again today. Ref made some perplexing decisions for both sides, the one when Obertan was taken out off the ball while we counter attacked shocked me.

HBA shouldn't have let Cisse take that penalty, we've seen before the dangers of changing your chosen penalty taker, Ameobi was supposed to take that one against the Mackems.

Tiote was warming up in front of me today, F me, his calf muscles are the size of most peoples thighs. The guy is a beast.

Overall, with the result, and Liverpool getting beat again, today has been a satisfactory day :)

Got to say watching the game, I thought you guys deserved to win and that Williamson dived for the penalty.

Yes, the dippers getting beat makes our win that little bit more pleasureable.

A tad disappointed with the lads today because we only created one clear cut chance, but at least they got back to winning ways with DT and me in the country again, I don't know what you layabouts calling yourself supporters were doing every week while we were away :smiley-finger007:

Norwich were as expected, very much Hughton tactics, and I think it worked quite well until Anita dropped back to where he belongs and Perch went to DM. Anita, as Cove was at pains to point out before we signed him, is way too dwarvish for centre midfield (I think he was more politically correct about it... so "dwarfish" <whistle>)...

Personally, I think a draw would have been fair, so I'll happily take 3 points. But having said that, lots of positive performances. Ben Arfa continued his form, along with Ba, Willo was outstanding as an aerial presence (and somehow won a penalty... I was right in front of that, and I couldn't tell what on earth it was for... I don't think Willo dived, but kind of did the "ref?" look after him and two of their defenders had jumped for the ball...), Taylor was quite good, Harper was brilliant, that cropped brunette bombshell that looks a bit like a goddess version of Jonas did very well, Perchy et al. Just a bit of luck and more composure in the final third was lacking, perhaps the same being true of Norwich.

Overan is and always will be useless for anything other than running. We should just figure out a play that would have him slalom around the field until he eventually runs the ball into the net, because he's never going to put in a decent cross, and those stepovers will only ever fool himself...

    p.s
Those magic hats DT and I got clearly didn't work on Cisse today... shame. Still, maybe we'll point our own gormless faces out later on MOTD 2

Would you trust that bus to get you up to SJP? Looks like it's seen better days and would interest our former Chairman.

Maybe play him down the middle rather than on the wing then? That way he could just keep running with the ball until the net stops him.

His most impressive move yet was at Hartlepool when he ran through the middle and scored a screamer.
