I reckon there are more Chelsea fans in Surrey than Chelsea. The ManUre fans are like a rash, all over the place. I live about 200 yards from Selhurst Park, I can actually see the top corner of the Holmsdale stand from my doorstep and it's fair to say the area is solid Palace...
Its a stupid map. All he's done is highlight the district the Club's in as being full of that Club's fans. He might as well have just put up a map indicating where all the Clubs are located. Cheers anyway Cerny lad.
What is the point of that ? He says it is work in progress, waste of timeand I cannot believe somebody bothered posting it on here,
I found it interesting and the source hints it is based on some research. Pity my own area QPR doesn't show! At least four STs within a stoes throw of me!
I Disagree. I live in Merton and on the border of Sutton and can say hands down the area is virtually all Chelsea with little Palace at all. Fulham are definitely under-represneted in Merton, they do a lot for the community there and have their fair share of fans in that borough. Croydon is split between Palace and Chelsea. I would agree Ealing and Hillingdon are Chelsea/QPR split but I also feel Arsenal's West/North West London fanbase is under represented. Lambeth is split between Chelsea/Arsenal, but Arsenal's fanbase in SE London (generally speaking) is under represented. QPR and Arsenal also underrepresented in Brent as well and Chelsea over-represented. I can't say much else as my main areas are SW, SE, W and NW London. I do find Arsenal strongholds spill over into East London as well, partiucularly Walthamstow. West Ham well over-represented as well, their fanbase is more home county based (South Essex mainly), No way do West Ham have the largest areas of support in London.
They don't really have strongholds though that London clubs do. I've never known an area/street to consist of predominantly of United fans, not in London anyway. If I went to a pub in Ruislip I'd fully expect more QPR fans around than any other on any given day, likewise with Chelsea in Cheam/Sutton, West Ham in Bethnal Green/Romford or Spurs in Enfield. Not really the same with United or Liverpool with all due respect mate, they're all over the shop.
