if we keep playing how we played today and against Scum, then I'm sure the points will start to flow - couldn't see many of the "lower half" of the league standing up against us if we boss the game like we did today. A crazy couple of minutes cost us those points today, but the performance was well worthy of all three

 

Excellent post. Totally agree. We have had a few very difficult games already. We are getting stronger and stronger. I know patience can be difficult at times, but IMHO that's all we need.

 

We're one win from clear 12th place, so many teams are drawing that a couple of wins will totally change everything. It's a marathon, not a sprint...

 

I don't agree that most teams in the bottom half will have problems standing up to us - while at our best today we'd likely boss the midfield, there wasn't much in their box, and when teams turn up the speed and accuracy we are liable to concede at the back. We have to improve both forward and back.

We were excellent today but yes, we do need a win soon. Confidence is everything. The belief is still there but a few more poor results and the players will start wondering.

At least we have some good company with Liverpool down there on only 2 pts. Based on recent play, both teams should at least be holding down mid table positions, but unfortnately, as we found out in 60 secs on Saturday, soccer can be cruel game.
