Exactly I don't get this whole "He should have been booked if it wasn't a penalty" stuff... Players are going to fall over in a contact sport.. Unless there's no contact whatsoever and the player takes a "Welbeck" swan dive it shouldn't be a card.. No way Valencia deserved a card or to get abuse for this... There was contact... The issue isn't whether he dived or not, but whether or not is was a foul. Winning like this is frustrating.
Actually both Suarez and Valencia were very very slightly clipped by the defenders. Both times there was contact, neither time was it enough for a foul imo. The difference was that the ref was perfectly positioned for the Suarez one, whereas for the Valencia one he had to sprint half the length of the field after Liverpool gave the ball away cheaply. Not sure how you solve something like that tbh. The fifth officials should solve it, but they never seem to do.
Already bored of the scousers moaning. Terrif, BBF all crying like morons. Its hilarious, it really is.
To be honest I dont care, its nice to see Liverpool go 5 games with 0 wins, 2nd from bottom, in free fall.
So they were both slightly clipped yet people are calling for Suarez to get booked for it? And if you read it properly I didn't just say the ref, I also said the officials which last time I checked included the 5th official
There is diving, and there's general contact in the area... If someone falls down in the area, and the referee doesn't give a penalty it doesn't mean that the player who fell was cheating... Suarez shouldn't have got a yellow either, because though it wasn't a penalty there was contact between him and Evans which made him fall over... Much different to a "swan" dive.
And no Liverpool fans are calling for Valencia to get booked? We've already had the usual saddos on our board asking how much we paid the ref Ultimately the ref made a bad decision with Valencia - most of the Utd fans have admitted that. Does the PL have 5th officials now? I thought they abandoned that idea after the fifth officials did absolutely **** all when used in Europe.
From the looks of that, Evans was quite lucky to stay on. He wasn't quite as wild as Shelvey, but off the floor and showing his studs at the point of contact. Stuart Holden has a very good point.
Swarbs has said we are not allowed to talk about their fans, not really sure why not seen as though we just played them
