It wouldn't be a huge shock Hutch. I can't say i'd be against it either, though the Kc is in walking distance for me. I don't know if the Robins would be keen on sharing with Hfc though :emoticon-0116-evilg:

The overbidding theme to all of this is the apparent willingness of the Allam's to be involved in local sport, I'm not particularly bothered whether its East or West or North of the city but we seem to have someone who is benevolent, for whatever reason, in the same vein as Harold Needler, albeit it he was just the Tigers, to the apparent good of the city. What becomes of all this apparent benevolence remains to be seen but to see we have someone on the scale of other benefactors of other cities, such as Jack Walker of Blackburn is heartening, and I applaud anyone who is willing to put their wealth to the greater good of the area. I have no interest in the egg chasers but over the years they have done the city proud with their achievements and kept the city in the news, who remembers both Hull and Rovers at Wembley and that immortal headline 'Will the last one to leave please put the lights out' or something to that effect.

I don't know what will become of it all, it may be all smoke and mirrors but I do know that other local people of great wealth have never been interested to share some of their spoils for the greater good, its their money so its up to them but at the moment it is good to see some prospect of a little monetary happiness being spread around.

I'd heard that the after the set-back with the KC sports village, the Allams were in talks with the council to develop a small-scale version of the KC sports village at Craven Park, but the council didn't want to let them do that either, which resulted in Assem stating he'll never do business with Hull City Council again while the current lot are running the council. Apparently John Prescott stepped up to try get the two parties to make-up and start talking about a Craven Park sports village again, but to little effect.
