JAMIE MACKIE: QPR WILL BE FIRING BY XMAS ABOVE: Jamie Mackie Itâs going to take time to gel. Itâs way too early to say weâre under pressure Jamie Mackie 23rd September 2012 By Daily Star Reporter JAMIE MACKIE insists nobody at QPR should panic just yet over the clubâs dodgy start to the campaign. Mark Hughesâ men head to Tottenham today still searching for their first league win, having lost two and drawn two while conceding eight goals and scoring only two. Thatâs not the return envisaged by the Loftus Road board â or the fans - following a summer in which they blew the best part of £20million on TEN new faces. But Scottish striker Mackie, 25, set to replace crocked Andy Johnson at White Hart Lane, said: âItâs going to take time to gel. Itâs way too early to say weâre under pressure. âWhen weâre ten games in, or by Christmas, you can start judging us. âWeâre desperate to get three points as soon as possible and I think we saw positive signs in the draw with Chelsea.â
christmas is 18 games into the season if we have to wait till then for them to gel then we are ****ed 54 points will have been played for by then
Apparently Alex Salmond, in a bid to distance Scotland from England, has determined that the Scottish Christmas will be held at the end of October. Jamie must have heard about this on one of his trips up North.
Well he did say 10 games in OR Christmas. Everyone seems to be focusing on the latter. I'm also sure it doesn't mean we pick up no points before Christmas then suddenly we gel and only then start winning or looking good. Just a general statement saying the improvement has already started as easily seen judged on the Chelsea game compared to the Swansea game...and that we will continue to get better which should see us still pick up points before we reach the standard we all think we can....well most of us think we can. We still need some luck on our side regarding injuries so we can get a more settled team out regularly. I actually think we have a chance of getting something away to Spurs today. We pushed them last season with a 'lesser' team and they we're firing at the time. I of course have the right to edit that last statement after the game
We've still got M'Bia and Diakite to return which will give us some steel in the defensive side of things, it's up front that worries at the moment, but we're a work in progress and this match today is the last of the three tough fixtures we were all worried about. We have improved...
Blown the best part of 20 million on 10 players have we? Spose he's right apart from the word blown and the numbers 20 and 10.
I think if we ain't firing away from the bottom 3 by mid November, I think MH may be fired. Not sure TF will wait till Christmas, doubt that he should either if we continue to play so defensively and are not picking up enough points.
