Perhaps they should concentrate on getting behind their own team rather than abusing our fans. Makes the victory extra sweet that we shut them up completely
While I was doing my normal "sulk after conceding" act I was cheered up quite a bit seeing some fat ****er dragged out of their end and chucked out by security. They made quite a bit of noise first half though, credit to them for that.
I thought the Villa fans were very good today, a lot of them travelled down. As for 'abusing' our fans, I think you will find that often opposing sets of supporters try to goad one another; strange but that is the mentality of some fans.
Was there any unpleasantness? They were very vocal in the dirt half and in fairness did out sing us a lot... Took us a while to get going..! Obviously, come the second half, that changed
Yeah, they were VERY loud. I can't remember an away support being so loud at St Mary's. Just thought it was strange they didn't concentrate more on backing their team and less on abusing our fans!
Remember how we felt when we conceded four goals in 45 minutes at Arsenal. They felt a lot worse. (I know, I read one of their forums)
I was sat near to some Villa fans on the train back to London and they actually said it was a good game. I sure as hell wouldn't if Saints lost 4-1 and traveled half the length of the country.
Some Villa fans who were walking to the stadium were singing a Steven Davis song! Something about him being better than Zidane?
They made a fair racket, but it was sweet to turn their "Kumbaya" chant back on them. "All gone quiet my lord, all gone quiet. Oh lord all gone quiet!"
Walked to the stadium with a group of 6 of them who got down here at 11am, had 4 hours of drinking. They were f****** lads.
They're seriously deluded . "4-1 to the worst team in the league!!" "first game i have seen all season, doesnt look great.Against a **** team also" "Everyone has been beating Southampton for fun. However, you can always rely on Villa being a charity case when you need something to go right for you!"
Reading it through...it wouldn't hurt for one of them to just admit we were better than them. Saying they deserved to be infront at half time is rich enough to be honest!
I love the quote "4-1 to the worst team in the league"........ummmm........well......let's just thing about this.......
And boy was he tubby.... Plenty of away day burgers fuelling that belly! Fair play obviously another well oiled moronic fan!
It is a somewhat ironic that Villa's away fans main song is about calling the home support quiet, **** and having empty seats... all of which you'll find 9 times out of 10 at Villa Park. An average attendance last season of 33,000 in a catchment area as large as Birmingham is nothing really to be proud of. But I've always found brummies to be an odd lot.
