    Don't need him....

    A CB would've made more sense.

    Having said that, we don't need any players based on today's performance! :)

    We're a strange old club. A good display from Gazzaniga and then we sign another as if he dropped 3 clangers. Good player though, good signing.

    He got 14 clean sheets in 36 games in Serie A last year. Just as a little information supplement :)

    I'm surprised as well! Kelvin goes from 1st choice to 3rd(?) in a matter of hours... kind of feel sorry for the guy!

    I wonder how he's regarded by the club, as a first choice or as a backup?

    Well Chris Johns the U18 keeper came on as a striker in the last game, so maybe Nigel is thinking of converting Boruc to a CB?

    This makes sense to me, some people were saying we should sign an older, experienced keeper to act as first choice to help the younger ones, and now that's turned out to be Davis. I think the order in preference would be:

    1. Boruc
    2. Gazzaniga
    3. Davis
    4. Cropper

    I know what Adkins is doing. I was saying before we should have signed an experienced goalie like Craig Gordon to give competition to Davis and to then send Gazzaniga out on loan. We have signed an experienced goalie in Boruc, Gazzaniga will be loaned to a Championship club.

    Why? As much as Davis has been great for us in the last few years, he hasn't been good enough this season. Gazzaniga looked great today and I think he'll stay number 1 with Boruc as back up.

    The signing makes sense to me. There's reason to believe Boruc would be better than Davis. Gazzaniga really didn't have much to do today so too soon to say he's good enough or even second choice ahead of Davis.

    Hopefully, Buroc starts with Davis getting some games as well and Gazzaniga can learn from the two veterans or go out on loan and get the chance to play everyday.
