Ok, granted it's a bit early to be looking so far ahead, but these eight matches look a very inviting run of fixtures. The ACON will be over too. I'd love it if we could go on a little unbeaten run. Southampton (A) Sunderland (H) Villa (A) Fulham (A) Wigan (H) Everton (A) Stoke (H) Reading (A)
We said the same last season about the run of fixtures in Jan/Feb and f*cked them up big-time, then we all said the last ten matches were Armageddon and we won five of them! Just don't try predicting...
I think that had more to do with Hughes always taking time before getting results. I think weve had the hardest start of all the teams after 5 games. But now we have to start winning the winnable game starting with WHU.
No disrespect to Sku because he's a top lad but these kinds of threads always strike me as naive to say the least. Football's just not like that. Black and white fixtures on a piece of paper don't mean an awful lot. Very often you'll beat the teams you're supposed to lose against and vice versa. I don't think we should be looking any further than our next game to be honest.
Just dug this thread up from September; been waiting a while until we got there. As I was saying back in September, I think that this eight match run will be the key. Get this wrong and we're down. No second chances now.
Yep nicely laid out and if we fail on the first four then we aren't good enough Simple as Also please look at what the other teams at the bottom have got there also lies the possible answer The maths But one game at a time as it will unfold nothing like we think it will but its our chance
Rare as rocking horse **** mate. I really hope we attack Southampton, as that's what they'll do to us. With their defence, even we should be able to score against them!
The trouble is Col I still don't think that we really know who our best starting 11 is and in what formation. We could probably agree on the goalkeeper, then it starts to get a little sketchy. What a pitiful state of affairs.
