    Evening All

We are very lucky fans, not only do we have a great stadium, great chairman, great manager and great squad of players, but we also have a great groundsman and his team who prepare a wonderful playing surface for our players and visitors. When you bear in mind that was our penultimate game of the league season today, that pitch looked just as good today or if not better than the first day of the season, so <applause> to all our grounds staff.

I know they struggled at the start of the season with the turf cutting up too easy when tackles went in, but that hasn't been a problem of late, so once again, hats off to our grounds staff, they put many a premiership pitch to shame.

Spot on Tuckshop.. Agree with you!

The lads and ladies behind the scenes who work on the pitch never get a mention for their hard work... So from me THANK YOU!

Improved massively from the start of the season for some reason, wouldn't look out of place in the Championship/Prem which is probs why Hartlepool kept giving it away!

Looked like a sash rash from where I was sitting, felt a bit out of place with my black and white hoop shirt, but the badge stands out well on it.

Speaking of shirts, we passed a bloke on Northam bridge who was another of those shirts, and his has Kingsland SFC on his back. Was that you, Kingsland, or do you need to get your solicitor onto that? :)

You will not believe it but I was in blue and white.......<laugh> My black and red Saints shirt was lost in the wash my red and white jumper (it was cold down are end) was full of holes and I wasn't going to wear my very heavy Saints coat. So I decided to aggravate my mates by coming in Hartlpool colours. Do you know not one of them mentioned it.........<laugh>

Always thought you were a bit two faced teddybear.........<whistle><whistle>

Interested to know what colours you'll wear to the Walsall, suppose as it will be party time you'll be wearing your 'multi coloured swapshop' Tshirt, so you'll have all angles covered.......<laugh>

Groundsmen of year awards have just been announced. Unfortunately we missed out to Carlisle's groundsman David Mitchell for the League One award, but both ourselves and MK Dons were given special mentions.

Forest won the Championship award (special mentions to Norwich and Burnley), whilst Chesterfield won the League Two award (special mentions to Bradford and Shrewsbury).

He's not one of those bears which is all smiles, but then you turn him inside-out and he's all scary?

Personally, I don't feel comfortable wearing blue undies on a match day. I mean, what if I had an accident and got taken to hospital? <laugh>

I don't think having an accident in your undies requires a trip to hospital.

On the subject of groundwork, Saints used to have someone who I slightly knew called Dave Roberts. I don't think he is still there, but they used to do some fantastic patterns on the pitch with the mower. I wonder what he is doing now?

Btw, not that kind of accident, St Brendy!;)
