I tell you what dave, You may think debate is getting abit hairy on here today but I've just been on my daily wind myself up visit to the pinkun and they are in full on Japanese Tsunami Meltdown over there. I always wonder what these people are like outside football that they react in such a way over such a small thing of being linked with Craig Mackail-Smith? When a gas bill drops on the mat do they just smash the house to pieces? When the MOT is due on their car do they go on a shooting rampage? It really is odd, the psychology of football in general fascinates me I'd love to do a class in it or something.
I suppose I'm getting to the age now where I should consider posting on the Pink 'un! But ****ed if I'm going to change my name to Mervyn!
I may do, but I've been on there for 10 minutes and I'm literally exhausted with the stupidity I saw. The people trying to promote logic and sensible thinking are just instantly shot down, everything is doom and gloom and being linked to CMS, we might as well have been linked to Jason Scotland. these people don't know what they want. They want a hybrid player that doesn't exist. It annoys me, but it's not a fight I have the energy to join, I just convince myself that even though these fans are numerous they are not taken seriously. Thank god.
Anyone else think there may be a signing tomorrow right out of left field that none of us have even considered yet?
He's done well today and scored on Monday night after coming off the bench. If he can keep his place he could be a surprise package this season.
Realistically Everton were never going to let him go, they've got a pretty small squad and he's first reserve striker so he was always going to be needed by them at some point - and jolly well he is doing as well
I don't see why Everton would want to let him go, but IMO he's the type of player City need. With height (6'3"), pace and strength he could add another option (presumably with Martin going out on loan in January). He scored 6 goals in 16 games last year and 3 in 4 games so far this year.
