Ahhh if it isn't the Saints with halos more bent than Harry Redknapps tax returns... Whilst lurking I couldn't help but giggle.. Ahem.. Brad Guzan - His form speaks for itself, but anyone that keeps Shay Given out the team has to be top draw. Ron Vlaar - Dutch international, Villa captain, outstanding against Swansea and Hungary in the international break Matthew Lowton - Scored a world class goal against the birdbrains last week and kept Michu/Dyer quiet Eric Lichaj - Also had a very solid game and a USA international kept Gareth Bale quiet not too long ago should have no problem with Lallana Ciaran Clark - one of the finest young centre backs in the league and also a goal scoring threat from set pieces, keeping Dunne out the team. Once again some pundits have you down to win this too, we haven't signed any 'Premier League quality' remember forget the fact we've not lost at St Marys, we signed 8 or 9 players for the price of Stewert Downing, but who cares they're all crap! so go ahead come get your three points against us! Newcastle and Swansea thought this too! Should be a cracker!
Well, after beating the Swans, you have certainly taken the pressure off. We on the other hand will be going all out for the win. Not taking the well organized Villa for granted, but we cannot possibly be contemplating another defeat. Should be a very good game, hopefully our Lambert is the one smiling at the end.
Aww bless don't be offended by the fact some fans think you're for the taking. We've got a whole season of people slagging us and predicting 8-0 losses to look forward to. If anything Mr. Nice the start of his thread was the first bite.
f anything Mr. Nice the start of his thread was the first bite. ________________________________ Being 2nd, I have to agree.
We will score against you. I'll be surprised if we don't get at least 2. We've scored 2 against City and United so what's your point? You've defence is no where near as good. We are the only team to score against Arsenal this season. We have a **** defence and thin midfield defensively. That's where we need to improve.
Hahahaha not the response Holte was expecting. Cheers for the detailed rant though. I would be over the moon with a win but think it is unlikely.
Making your first post on another fans board......Well that is a bit Novel.........I only hope you take us for granted.....Just as City did and Utd. Ok we didn't beat them granted, but you are not in the class of either. It will be a cracker thats for sure and we will not be taking anything for granted you can count on that. Despite what some of our fans think it is not going to be a walk over that is for sure we are going to have to earn the win. Reasonably confident we will not lose............
lamballana never said we would win or even get a point. We got two past the Manchester clubs respectively and if the game was played on paper then we would get four or five past you.
I like the title of this thread. Because it illustrates what can happen in a very short time, say 4 games. Under Alex McLeish, Villa fans were notoriously despairing and downbeat. Now, a few games into the season, under Lambert, they are unbeatable. Something has definitely changed..! Yep, they've won a couple of games, with the same/similar group of players - a change of pattern - so they've gone cock-a-hoop and arrogant. In contrast, Saints have had a glorious last two or three seasons, and yet 4 games into the new one some people are ready with the cutthroat razors. The Adkinism springs to mind: don't get too high when you win, or too low when you lose. Besides, you save on blades and throats.
