Benni is the one that worries me. That kind of talent always ends up with Europes elite. Now he has shown maturity and an ability to fit in, its only a matter of time in my opinion. He's just too good.

 

The thing is its not just those 3 who could be creating intrest in themselves over the next 2 and a half months people like HBA, Santon, Colo could all easily be on that list amoungst others (even Perchinio could be looking for first team football). If any of them do go I hope it the board reinvest any incoming money to replace them wisely.

He's the type of player Real Madrid would look to.

 

The thing is, Ben Arfa is our best player, and everyone at Newcastle knows it. It would take a silly bid to get him, and would clubs be willing to pay it when they could probably get better for less?

I dunno.

But I think the fact that the top 4 are just too wealthy that we'll struggle to keep some of our best players, due to the fact that I can't see us breaking into the top 4, without significant investment or one of the bigguns ****ing up. The two manc clubs will stay where they are. Chelsea have so much talent in their ranks.

Arsenal maybe? I dunno, they look fantastic now.

 

Agree with this but if we can't offer CL footy some players WILL get disgruntled and request movves if a CL club comes in for them. The one issue i foresee is that we came so close to CL footy last year that if we are not in and around the CL places again this year it will look like a step backwards to some of our big name players.
