The Deeney rumours smack of desperation, but given the recent results that's hardly surprising. He probably is the answer, but surely it's too soon? Fitness wise I mean?
i did hear he wasn't that fit when he came back, but having played 45 mins, perhaps that was deceptive?
I am not an expert in these things, but having watched him train on monday I thought he looked surprisingly fit. But then he always has been. He seems to love the gym and you often hear about his trips there on twitter.
IN YEATES PLACE!! You would play Forestieri in Murray's place as he has looked a little off colour recently, and then McGinn in midfield.
yes but you don't get match fit in a gym, apparently. Maybe he was running a lot when he got the chance in Prison..who knows if that's possible! lol
Is this a case of don't expect too much too soon as I am not sure what sort of hand I have been dealt? http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9941545.Zola___We_will_challenge_for_the_title_next_season_/
He is partly covering his own back..given our start and lack of decent performances so far the team are a long way off promotion contenders ATM. Hopefully the Pozzos will give Zola time...will they accept a dull mid-table finish?
He will not just have one season unless we finish really low down the league this season (can't see that happening even with recent results). But if results don't turn round by the early part of next season then they will act swiftly.
4-4-1-1 GK: Almunia DR: Doyley DC: Neuton DC: Ekstrand (as soon as he's fit Nosworthy is out of the team) DL: Pudil MR: Murray MC: Hogg MC: Battocchio/Chalobah ML: Forrestieri CF: Vydra ST: Beleck/Deeney/Geijo That's how I'd play...to make sure there's width. Or 4-3-3 Same GK/Defence MC: Battocchio MC: Hogg MC: Eustace/Chalobah RW: Murray/Forrestieri ST: Beleck/Geijo/Deeney LW: Vydra Also need to see how much play Anya/Mujangi Bia/McGinn will get.
Deeney: very very grateful. http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/120926-troy-deeney-390857.aspx He also tweeted this after the match on saturday:
So we wont see Geigo till Charlton at the earliest. The same for Battocchio. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9950060.Watford_fans__wait_for_Geijo_s_debut_continues/
Well, on the bright side, I suppose that's only a week away. A bit concerning that we appeared to have moved from muscle imbalances to groin problems though.
Hmmpfh! Though Vydra and Deeney seem to make a good pairing up front, so not as Hmmpfhy as it could have been!
I think Vydra and Deeney will work well together. Can't see Iwelumo starting games again. I will be interesting to see who makes room for Deeney though. Personally wouldn't mind dropping Yeates to keep Murray/Forestieri in the team.
They still might be. But Alex is rumoured to be worth a cool â¬3m and has had some good seasons when he was fit.
that was two seasons ago...i think the hype has been immense..i just hope he lives up to it when he finally plays!
