Young driver test for Ferrari tomorrow at Magny-Cours. Interestingly Jules Bianchi will be driving for Ferrari on the first day, Force India on the second and then Ferrari again on the third. Rigon (their main simulator driver) will be driving on the second day. They have big parts coming for Singapore so I'm expecting them to test them here. I'll post pictures tomorrow. As for other Ferrari employess, Massa will be doing simulator work on the second and third day of the test, while Perez will be in Maranello tomorrow "in accordance with an appointment that has been planned for months as part of his programme of work as a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy", so Ferrari say.
Apart from different front wings, no visible updates on the F2012. Someone on F1Technical did say "Ferrari will be testing a new chemical compound/liquid to aid engine and hydraulic cooling" but I'm not sure how reliable this guy is. Autosprint say there will be a new front wing and floor: please log in to view this image There will also be a modified diffuser.
I've got a good feeling for Ferrari at Singapore, I think it'll be the first Ferrari 1-2 of the season
with hindsight. Anyway, Ferrari updates for this weekend - new front wing and floor: please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
Pat Fry says there are four small updates being brought to Korea. Here is the first one - a new fin on the brake ducts: please log in to view this image The second is a new front wing (I think it's new): please log in to view this image Scarbs thinks this is another update: @ScarbsF1: Different mirrors & fins for Ferrari, may be they are to try the Sauber style flap over the sidepod? http://www.motorsportgp.pl/images/m...artek//grand-prix-korei-czwartek-2012-024.jpg
Domenicali says Ferrari are 0.2 behind Red Bull, Jose Luis says the updates for India are worth 0.3-0.4. I'm sure Red Bull will also bring new parts to India.
Apparently, Ferrari were testing new parts on Massa's car in Korea and they didn't try them with Alonso because they didn't want to take risks. However there was no Red Bull style exhaust, as some British websites are reporting. The original source doesn't say anything about new exhausts, though there are other rumours of a Red Bull style exhaust coming to India. On Tuesday or Wednesday Autosprint said the India updates will be straight-line tested soon.
