    Sunday 23rd September 2012

    Kick Off 3pm

    St James' Park

Well it's back to the bread and butter of the PL and the return of a certain Chris Hughton.
I expect the roof will be raised for one of the nicest men in football.
The Canaries have yet to win this term, however with 3 draws and a loss this term they are proving a difficult unit to break down.

    Team News
Ryan Taylor, Danny Simpson, Tim Krul and Cheick Tiote are all out due to injury, while Coloccini is also likely to sit this one out.

    Selected Betting
    Toon to win is 8/11
    Toon 2-1 is 13/2
    Toon 3-1 is 11/1
Cisse FGS Toon 2-1 is 22/1
Cisse FGS Toon 3-1 is 35/1
HBA FGS Toon 3/1 is 50/1

    ACS's View
I can see a very cagey first half with Norwich sitting deep. It will take something special from HBA or a set piece to unlock the Norwich defence but when we do, I expect Norwich to start to push forward and leave gaps and because of this I can see our attack minded players having a bit of a field day..... as long as we play 4-3-3.

    Formation
I'd like to see the following....

    Ba - Cisse - HBA
    Jonas - Cabaye- Anita
    Santon - Willo - Saylor - Perch
    Harper

I will be there and going for a 3-0 win to us. Saylor, Shola and Ba for the goals.

Play the way against them that we played down there and we'll all be in for a great disappointment.

Probably the worst game I've ever seen.

    Sat 10 Dec 2011 | Carrow Road

Norwich 4 Newcastle 2. It wasn't as close as the score suggests either.

Be great to see CH back though.

If Tiote is back will be interesting to see who drops out, my money would be on Williamson.

If Tiote is back, I'd much rather he came on during the game as a sub, he won't be match fit, and he'd be better coming on when the opposition is beginning to tire.

    If Tiote is back -

    Ba-----Cisse----Ben Arfa

    -------Cabaye--------

    --Jonas-----Tiote-----

    Santon-Perch-Saylor-Anita

    ----------Harper----------

We'll just have to rotate Ba and Cisse in the striker position.

If Tiote isn't fit, I'd go with this -

    ------Ba------Cisse-------

    ---------Ben Arfa---------

    ---Perch-Cabaye-Jonas----
    Santon---------------Anita
    ------Willo---Saylor----

    ----------Harper----------

Play 4-3-1-2, and if we need a wing threat, get Anita and Santon forward, and there'll be the CM's there to cover defensively.

It could be risky, but it can work.

    This.

Last thing we need to do is rush him back and lose him for even longer

That was a great game in my opinion. Hard to say it was the same for the neutral supporter though. Easy to say that Ba scored one of the best goals from an opposition team at Carrow Road that I've seen. A fantastic lobbed ball from Cabaye well finished by Ba.

One thing I have to say about that game which you Newcastle fans won't like is that I feel you can't blame your depleted defence for that result as we also had a depleted defence.

In hoping we can get away with at least a point this time around at St James' Park but in hoping that our strikers improve after a slow start. But watch out for our 'Leeds midfield' of Snodgrass, Howson and Johnson who have all had a good start to the season.

he'd switch out for Anita on my preferred 11.
Away from home... It would maybe be Jonas to add more bite in the middle with Anita and Tiote holding and allowing Cabaye to break.

It's bound to have been better in your opinion, like I say though, it was probably the worst I've ever seen.

It's all about opinions, and mine is different to yours.

Hence why I said 'in my opinion!' <laugh> We did have a drawback in the way we conceded the second Ba goal.

Also, how's Cabaye been doing for you guys recently?

With Tiote we will win 3-1... without... it will be a nervy 2-1 I think.

Actually, I think we can blame it on a depleted defence. We had no CB's at all!

Plus we were the better side easily in the game, but obviously Holt and Morisson were just too much for our makeshift defenders.

I think it will be more likely 2/3-0 with him, or a scrappy 2-1 without him.

I don't think he'll have an effect on our goals tally, but he will have an effect on us defensively.

But even without Tiote I still think we can do it. Saylor has been performing very well, Santon has been class, Perch was good at CB. A bit questionable at fullback, but not bad.

We do look a bit shakey without him, because our other DM's have just literally come into the side.

I can see why Pards wanted that Wanyama or whatever from Celtic. He's canny, and very like TIote.

We got a clean sheet against Bolton (one of only two) with no centre backs at all. We had a winger at right back, two full backs at centre back an our second choice left back. Admittedly we had the highest number of headed goals last season, three of which were in that game so I fuess two full backs at centre back against us wouldn't help! But that's all in the past. <ok>
