http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-facing-sfa-charge-over-1334946 I'd be even more disappointed if any Rangers fans were responsible for them being charged. Seriously, why would the SFA charge Celtic over this? Fast-forward 15 years from now, we'll all be sat down in silence at football matches....celebrating a goal will be banned. I live part-time in Colombia - Stadiums there are absolutely bouncing. Banners have all sorts (Atletico Nacional regularly have banners with Pablo Escobar on them)....and in Medellin for the derby, guns, knives etc are regularly confiscated outside the ground. In Scotland....we're just not that bad, god only knows what all this moral high ground, boo-hoo I'm soo offended ****e is all about...lets just get on with supporting our teams and having a laugh.
It is pretty pathetic, sadly Im sure some rangers fans wouldve been looking for something to complain about.....it works both ways of course, I remember some bluenose friends of mine telling me the lyrics to " the famine song ", for example...I thought it was genuinely funny....then all the furore followed, pah.
Don't tell that to BillyBhigotBhoy, he'll be on the phone to the consulate wanting you deported. In all seriousness, it's really ridiculous. People looking to be offended is pathetic. In the same weeks that we're all laughing up our sleeves at the crazy Muslims going nuts over a ****ty film and their lack of tolerance, the Islamist protesters want our democratically elected Governments to censor our media so not to offend them, yet our own anti-sectarian industry is showing a similar intolerance. I've said it before and I'll continue to say it, sectarianism is not a major problem in Scotland, their will always be arseholes who will shout stuff looking to offend, if they aren't shouting about fenians, then it's sheep shaggers, Edinburger Junkies, Ayrshire tramps etc. I wish everyone would calm down and see things for what they are. On the Celtic forum, Venom's buddy Albatross is calling Rangers EBT case as the biggest scandal in European football history, I mean, where do you start with that pish? Outwith a few hundred thousand folks on the British Isles, no **** cares. It's a game of football, no more, no less.
The calibre of Tim poster on here is getting worse, it started with Harryhood, Superhooper, now you've got hysterical idiots like Weeble, Albatross, Jiffy and SimonBhoy...
If they are gonna charge them for this then they may as well charge them for carrying coffins and having make shift guns inside the piggery. I doubt anyone is offended by this, it's only a banner. I thought this one was pretty funny.
you can't be huns when your team is dead. Although I would call you wee huns cos the team you support is the successor to the old one
Aye, heaven forbid we speak about football and not fantastical stories about having a wife, credit cards and going on holiday on some ****ing internet football forum. Ya sad ****.
That's harsh. I and many others enjoy Edge's tales as they allow us to live vicariously through them. Surely there's room on these boards for diversity Jiffy? Try and think more of others this Equinox.
Oh, aye "riflegate" Since you bothered to listen to mopes complaining about that, you'll no doubt remember what the "rifle" turned out to be. There's no doubt this was led by fans in my mind. The torrent fae Frank's pal Chwissy was unbelievable - and still continuing last night - the amount of tweets aimed @scottishfa that I saw was VERY substantial - rarely did they even appear to have seen the banner, claiming it said "Die Huns" on it and claiming the zombie had a Rangers scarf on The main complaint, rather than the zombie appears to be the portrayal of "Rangers fans as apes then being shot" (verbatim - C Graham). The banner in question wasn't captured on SNS (news agency) cameras who covered the game for the BBC and SKY. The pictures used in the news about it came from Twitter - seriously The day after the Norwich game, every sports journalist I follow was bombarded with it. But for that, hardly anyone would've noticed it.
