I think Lamborghini should come into F1 to spice up some Italian rivaly between themselves and Ferrari. Although i doubt a new team can suddenly come in now and shoot to the top. What teams would you like to see ?
Nissan, or Toyota back. I want a big Japanese car maker to back Kobayashi for the WDC, Japanese fan base would just explode and would be a waste to pass up a driver like him over his career. That or Volkswagen...
When you look at the big sports car names i think that there are two with a incredible lack of F1 history Lamborghini (apart from providing a few engines) and Aston Martin. I would be an instant fan of either if they were to join.
If this question had been asked in 2009, I would have said Lotus. Not too sure about Lamborghini, but i'd love to see the return of Toyota - I thought they had potential and left the sport at the wrong time.
I'd like to see BMW and Toyota back, and I'd like to see the grid extended to 15 teams or so. A 30 car grid would be great. Other than that, I think Fernandes is about to bring the Caterham name into F1, and I'd love Jaguar and/or Aston. Audi always surprised me they've not gone for F1 in years, maybe someone like Citroen or Peugeot could do F1? Although both do compete in different series, which is probably why they haven't. However, I'd really love some more privateer teams!
BMW and Toyota back would be nice. Aston are obviously a huge miss. I think VW will enter soon in some guise, either as an engine supplier (both McLaren and Red Bull have expressed an interest in VW engines) or as a team. As to which brand VW would enter under, I think they'd probably enter under Audi or Lambo, with VW branded engines. Something like Lamborghini Audi Quattro would be pretty cool, obviously the engines wouldn't be Quattro but that's a minor detail.
The amount of brands under the VW umbrella is really staggering and Im going to embolden the names, they can take their pick, of which brands I would like to see in F1 as they have mooted 2013 as to when they may possibly enter the sport. Audi, Skoda, Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche, Seat (they keep the WTCC interesting), Bugatti, If they are going to enter it is looking much more likely that it will be under the Porshe brand
