Stupid to suggest that there is a knock on effect for depriving the exchequer of funds?

Rebel I understand the principle of Tax and the services they provide but every **** tries to pay as little as possible, Rangers got scooped nd are paying fot it and will pay again when they get done for the rest.

Are you friendly with anyone who uses Red Diesel?

Ciaran what's the use in arguing that point? We all know what the facts behind the Rangers case are; they've been stated on here many times.

I asked Albatross to cool it a wee bit with his ****e threads and he posts a load of childish rhetoric about Rangers. It's not discussion about football, it's playground pish.

Well if that is the case then surely you accept that Albies post holds credence. The purpose of tax is to fund services, if people don't pay what they should then they are depriving the exchequer of the means to fund those services.

I know folk want to pay as little tax as possible. But when their short cuts are outwith the realms of the law, then such criticism is entirely legitimate, if a little emotive. More so if done systematically on a corporate level for a decade.

Exactly what is tax used for? To pay for pensions. schools, hospitals doctors etc. If we all adopt a tax evading attitude then none of these can function. What people fail to realise is the cumulative effect of tax evasion. Once all the tax evasion is added together per annum it comes to billions and explains exactly why HMRC refused a CVA and wanted to refuse one with LU, but unfortunately their debt comprised on 24.7% of the total and as such did not qualify as permitting them to refuse a CVA de facto. It is when all the £75millions are added together that we can realise that the whole welfare and health and education system could grind to a halt. IMO anyone who claims for something which is false then they are robbing those in our society who are most needy; pensioners coming to the end of their life, children who cannot protest, disabled people who require state support, armed forces who require the best equipment available. I dont think that what I say is over the top. Where do you people think that all of the welfare comes from? Santa Feckin Claus.
One incident of tax evasion on its own does not appear too bad, but the cumulation of tax evasion is costing all of us. You, will pay for this. Our national debt is unsustainable; we are beyond the line of retrievability, yet it continues to grow and one of the reasons the economists give is widespread and widescale tax evasion.
What makes the RFC case so dramatic is the high profile it has. It draws attention to tax evasion in a manner that no other case can or has. This is why I write the way I do. Tax evasion cannot and should not be condoned or go unpunished, because those who do it are stealing from the weakest in society, those who are often not empowered or in a position or capable of defending themselves.

As to Venom..................how ironic that you post so often on a thread which you are so quick to condemn.........the irony totally escapes you I suppose

Because something is beyond your comprehension does not make it an invalid point or playground pish, but it does raise the question why you feel so upset that you have to create a separate thread about posting threads about rfc. What a strange stance to take. Strange indeed.

The FACT is VenomRFC has been on this forum for years cracking jokes about suicides, drugs, porn, *****ls, helicopter crashes etc, "finds it all funny when it suits him". but when a relatively new poster comes on and posts something about rangers on a football forum, he likes to think he is the big "I AM" and takes offence.

Venom, if you are not happy, maybe it's time you did an Irishgreen and **** right off.

Having had the chance to reflect on this thread, perhaps it is unnecessary to tell people what taxes are used for and also unnecessary to pull people up for telling people what taxes are used for.. ... And very possibly unnecessary to tell people that it is unnecessary to interject over peoples unnecessary detailing of taxation expenditure.

I think we can all put this behind us, just go out there and try and win the second half. C'mon lads. Just think of it as 0-0.

    Agreed.

Although I think some people are too sensitive when it comes to criticism. I merely asked for Albatross to cool it a bit with Hun threads or post some of them on their board for comedy sake.

Too many football fans think that criticising your own fans or club is some sort of betrayal. It's the most laughably juvenile attitude possible.

I'm here for debate and laughs, not to rail against another club as if they are some Pantomime Villain attempting to tear the fabric of existence into nothingness.
