Lucas is statistically a good player, he can't back it up though because he's a sick note. It's all good harping on about how good he is compared to the likes of Carrick but Carrick plays football, he doesn't sit at home in his bed letting people talk him up to be this new world beater, he puts his boots on, gets out on the pitch and does his job and usually at the end of a season he'll end up with a trophy and a medal to show for his hard work. Lucas is in a different class entirely to Carrick, he's in the div class that never gets a game whereas Carrick is in the grafters class, the ones who don't always look awesome on the pitch but come crunch time, they just get the job done. Come back and tell me Lucas can lace Carrick's boots when he's won something in England, when he's actually put in shift after shift and earned a trophy alongside his team, because his token gesture League Cup winner's medal from last season, that just doesn't count, that was a joke.

He's been pulling up trees for two seasons or so now - basically one of the only stand out performers for us recently. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, of course, but don't talk about things you don't know about. Ah... that would explain a few things. Not unlike a United fan to go mental - if he asked, he'd find that I quite like Michael Carrick (a rare position to take). Maybe he's just annoyed that Lucas would play 38 games for United if they had him. I don't get the sick note thing in particular - Lucas really is a little scamp, tearing his knee ligaments like that! What a petulant thing to do! And tearing his hamstring! Whatever will he do next!
