I definitely agree - the sole redeeming factor of the job would be holiday time! I know I'd hate to work with kids so I'm shocked anyone does.

I agree with this as well - only problem is they aren't cheap. Why some people pay £9k (or £27k now, thanks Nick) for a piece of paper saying they can take a pretty photo, I don't understand.

What I was trying to say last night was, teachers imo seem over paid to other workers (such as soldiers). Now ifsoldiers pay was increased(which it should be) then a teachers wage wouldn't seem so high. My mum is a Pre-School teacher and earns 18k a year, even that is more then most soldiers.

This isn't true for all areas of the country. Teachers in London can earn a lot more than that. Secondary/high school teachers can earn up to £45k. You get head teachers on £80k.

At my brother's school something like only 3 kids in his class got an A*-C in both English and Maths. IMO all the kids are being taught is how to pass an exam at grade C level, hence changing the C grade boundary affected almost everyone. Same as when I was studying for my GCSE's, half of my class wanted to learn at an A/A* level, whilst the other half were only at D/C level. Safe to say we only learnt the basic stuff, and without me going to a personal tutor for 3 hours a week in Maths/English I wouldn't have got my three A's in them.

These are the sort of kids that take enjoyment out of having the lowest grades in their friendship circles like they're somehow cooler for having lower grades? Luckily for me my friends all wanted to be the best out of all of us so I did quite well.

Did your school not stream their classes for GCSE to make sure the better students were all in the same class and learning at the same speed?

Not as much as they did in the first 3 years, due to GCSE options, that would be impossible trying to timetable a set class around, meant there were plenty of kids who through no fault of their own were working at a higher level and struggling and vice versa.

With my school, they just streamed Maths I think. The rest of the classes were just set based on when you had Maths during the week.

This is insane. A footballer nearly loses his hand after picking up a homemade grenade that was thrown onto the pitch. I think it's an Asian Champions League match taking place in Iran.

Those aren't exactly the finest alcoholic beverages. I'll take a cream tea.
