Chris Samba

I know it's like the 46th article made on him, but if you're watching the game now, what do you think?

I think he looks excellent. For a big bloke he isn't slow, and his timing on his tackles are excellent. I think he could be a an excellent signing and a perfect partner for Colo.

Samba's strength, tackling and physical capability, and Colo's agility, speed and precision interceptions, and both players have a very good knowledge of the game. Samba's movement is also very good, and he knows when to blast it out and when to pass unlike Willo.

He could be a leader at the back and a CB pairing of Colo and Samba, with Willo and Taylor as back up, is good enough to challenge in the top half easily. Simpson, Samba, Colo and Enrique is an excellent back four.

Barton linked up well with Carroll from free kicks, he can do it with Willo quite well also. Imagine the threat we'd have with Samba linking up with Barton's set pieces?

I'd say lets put a bid in for him for 5 million, rising to 7-8 mil if they will not sell.

 

Also! How much would you pay for him, max?

 

I was reckoning he'd be snapped up by Arsenal if we tried bidding for him as he looks the perfect 'big man' but Blackburn fans have apparantly been saying that defensively he's been poor recently, with transfer speculation and all that. Not so sure now.

I'd go up to a max of £7m but if he can keep composed, I think him and Colo would compliment eachother perfectly.

I'd probably go up to about 7 or 8m probably. Not priority though.
I think we're all in agreement he'd be the perfect partner to Colo.
As Mod Face said though, wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal came knocking.

In fact, I heard from an inside source that both Milan clubs, Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Chelsea, Man U and Liverpool are fall paying 'pit ants' to their players after financial trouble... guess you've got no option now

Can't see them selling for under 13 mil, even if Samba was kicking up a storm tbh. They know big teams are interested and with our 35 mil I'm sure would be after a bigger chunk than 7mil.
