    The mods put a sticky on any thread that is of sufficient interest to warrant always being at top of page i.e. player of season or match report.

    I voted for Fonte when this thread started and to be honest his recent performances, including 2 goals over Easter, re-affirm my view. To me he is the obvious choice for the captaincy next season as I am not too sure how Hammond will fare in the higher league. (Oops, I've just assumed we will be promoted!). Lallana is surely our most talented, and probably, most influential player, but his injuries have not allowed him to achieve his full potential this term which is why Jose gets my vote.
