After Norwich on Sunday we've got Man Utd away on the 26th. WED.(COC). Reading away on the 29th. SAT. Bordeaux at home on the 4th Oct. THUR. Man Utd at home on the 7th Oct. SUN. Mackems at home on the 21st Oct. ( Ten days earlier than I'd have liked it to be.) SUN. Newcastle 5 5under1and 1.
At least we've got some time to prepare for the mackem game. Hopfully pards will see sense and play a team for full of kids and fringe players vs United. They're hardly gonna be playing a strong team.
Think we'll both be playing teams of fringe players and one or two in need of a game to get match fit.
and paying top $ for what basically will be a reserve game wonder what the highest attendance is for a reserve game ???
One positive I can think of for the mackem game: It's the first game after Shola's Birthday, so he'll be due a birthday goal or three.
Just hope we turn up determined to play the flowing style of football we know we can, and not get to involved and overwhelmed by the Derby Day hype. don't get me wrong l love the Derby matches, but last time round I do feel that all the testosterone fuelled gesticulating detracted from the game and we were so determined to out macho them, that we almost forgot why we were there! Which is to out class them at Football, not chest beating. If we can stay focussed and PLAY to our strengths we can win both home and away.
Just hope the international break inbetween mackems and manure doesnt destroy ouirs first XI like the previous break has done.
